Thus, the main types of temperament were singled out by Hippocrates, dividing people into four main groups. Unlike other properties, this quality is due, first of all, to the biological organization of the individual. His features are manifested quite early, they can be noticed already in young children, in their behavior, games, communication with each other and with adults. Thus, choleric patients are characterized by a strong nervous system excitability, which is why they are often characterized by unbalanced behavior. One of the most stable types of temperament is the sanguine person. Usually it is a cheerful person, who has a quick reaction, deliberate decisions. The most vulnerable is a melancholic with a weak nervous system, and is particularly sensitive to the slightest irritants. Phlegmatic is difficult enough to swing to any activity, however, if he is carried away, he will continue to work despite everything, until it is completed. From the type of temperament, such personality traits, such as impressionability, anxiety, emotionality, impulsiveness, largely depend.

In psychology, individual personality traits are distinguished (that is, specific, specific only to a given person). They can be attributed to character. This is a kind of mental activity that manifests itself in the characteristics of a person's social behavior . It is formed, as a rule, gradually, through the process of cognition and practical activity. Researchers studying personality traits in psychology distinguish two aspects of the structure of the character , namely content and form. At the same time, they are inextricably linked, forming an organic unity. The content includes the interests, needs, life values of a person. This is an individual-original relationship, talking about the activity of the individual in society. Forms of character express different manifestations of relationships, temperament and other qualities. In the structure of character, the interests, temperament, will, beliefs, intellect, etc., are also singled out.

Speaking about the properties of personality, allocate and ability. It should be remembered that in psychology this concept is clearly separated from "makings". The latter constitute the natural basis of development of abilities and are innate anatomical and physiological features of the brain, nervous system, sense organs.

No less important than other personality traits are feelings and emotions. Although they are related, they are different phenomena of the emotional sphere. Stamina is characterized by stability and duration. Emotions are a direct manifestation of experiences at a certain moment.
