Mamvrian oak: a sacred relic of Christians

In Israel there is a sacred tree, which is important for all inhabitants of the earth. According to legend, Abraham took God under him. It is called the miracle of nature Mamvri oak. He grows up in the city of Heron and, unfortunately, almost withered. It is believed that under him the Holy Trinity appeared for the first time . This tree is sacred and it is written about it even in the Bible. The Mamvri oak was discovered by Kapustin, who at that time was exploring the area of Hebron. He based his research on biblical texts and stories of local residents. When the man found the sacred tree, he decided to purchase the site on which it was located. This place has become attractive to many Russian pilgrims.

Near the oak the monastery of the Holy Trinity was built. According to historical records, the tree is over 5000 years old. Mamvri oak in Hebron belongs to a rare Palestinian breed. Its leaves are very small, and it grows rather slowly. People measured the circumference of the tree - 7 meters. Previously, it was divided into three huge branches and was a symbol of the Holy Trinity. Currently, it is being restored and maintained as soon as possible to preserve the sacred symbol. Not far from the tree there are two small, same breeds that again recreate the Trinity.

At the beginning of the twentieth century, the Mamvri oak began to dry up. In addition, the pilgrims tried to each one to pinch and carry away a part of it, which also had a negative effect on his life. In 1995, people saw the last green leaf on the tree.

There is a prediction that as long as the oak is alive, people will also live, with his death - the end of the world will come. A lot of residents prayed at the foot of his salvation, and thanks to prayers or nature, the tree let out a sprout. It is small, only 20 centimeters, but in the hearts of people there was hope. And the most wonderful thing in this phenomenon is that the sprout also branches into three parts, thus again reminding of the Holy Trinity.

Today in Hebron live three Orthodox people: one priest and two nuns. At the gate is a watchman who opens and closes them. He is a Muslim, and every time he offers visitors to buy postcards of the last century. They are depicted as a child, and behind him - a beautiful and flourishing Mamvri oak. It is believed that if you pray and ask for help from the tree, it will certainly help, and any desire will come true. From all over the world, tourists come to look at the symbol of the Holy Trinity and capture it in their memory. Residents of the city hope that a small sprout will breathe life into a withered tree, and it will again delight the tourists and the citizens of Israel.

Mamvreyskiy oak, whose photo can be found mostly in black and white, is often depicted on icons and is considered a tree of the times of the creation of the world and even a tree of life or knowledge. The earth around it is sacred and collectively symbolizes the Holy Trinity. Every person dreams there, regardless of his religious mood. Once upon a time there was a service near the oak, and nobody had the right to break the quiet and calm atmosphere. The holy tree was worshiped in the morning, at lunch and in the evening, it was revered and even listened to his opinion.
