This article describes preparations that are similar in name, but which have different active substances and, correspondingly, have different mechanisms of action. The first drug is "Libexin", the instruction to which is attached, contains prenoxidiazine as an active substance. This drug reduces the sensitivity of peripheral receptors (cough). In this case, the peripheral, afferent link of the cough reflex is blocked. The drug "Libexin" also has a central effect on the cough reflex.

If you came to the pharmacy and asked for the drug "Libexin", then you can give the drug "Libexin muko", the instruction to which is also given here. - bronchodilating effect - the stretch receptors involved in the cough reflex are suppressed;

- a slight decrease in the activity of the center of breathing (without its inhibition).
