What are the indications for the appointment of the drug Enterol? The instructions for use inform about its effectiveness in the prevention and / or treatment of diarrhea (acute and chronic) having a bacterial origin. It is also used in the treatment of antibiotic-induced dysbacteriosis.

Contraindicated this medicine in the presence of hypersensitivity to it. If a patient has a venous catheter, then to avoid fungemia - getting a fungal infection in the blood - is not being treated with Enterol.

Children under the age of six are given one or two times a day on a sachet of powder.

In cases of acute diarrhea, therapy with the drug should be combined with frequent and plentiful drink, which will prevent dehydration.

Side effects: discomfort in the abdomen, allergies. The withdrawal of treatment with the drug is not required. With regard to the use of the drug "Enterol" in pregnancy, strictly controlled studies have not been conducted. Therefore, this medication is administered with caution to pregnant women.

Duration of treatment: acute diarrhea - from three to five days. In the treatment of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), chronic diarrhea, dysbiosis - from ten days to two weeks. As the prevention of pseudomembranous colitis and its treatment, the drug "Enterol" is used according to the scheme established by the doctor. In parallel, antibiotic treatment is prescribed.

Instructions for use give the following warning. It is necessary to immediately apply to a medical institution (call a doctor) in the following cases:

- During the two-day therapy, no improvement has occurred.

- Fecal masses of the patient contain blood and / or mucus.

Duration of treatment and dosage in any cases are determined only by specialists.

Capsules should not be opened near patients who have venous catheters. Together with antifungal drugs, the described drug is not used because of a possible weakening of the therapeutic effect. Cases of overdose has not been described. After treatment of hepatitis, the drug "Enterol" can be prescribed only after a lapse of two years.
