KAMAZ-65116: a new generation of well-known trucks

Today KAMAZ remains the leader in sales of heavy trucks in Russia. Machines of this brand can be found in any city and even in the field (as a grain harvester).

Over a long period of existence (almost half a century), many models of trucks have been developed at the Kama plant. They had excellent patency and high operational properties, so they were actively used not only by civilians, but also by the military. In general, this enterprise is engaged in the production of heavy trucks. Recently Kama plant has developed a new tractor KAMAZ-65116 with a turbocharged diesel engine of the brand "Cummins" and a completely new design of the cabin. By the way, on the basis of this car, its onboard analog with a load capacity of 14,000 kilograms was designed. It is about the truck KAMAZ-65116 that will be discussed today in our article.

Specifications

Despite the fact that the car has a curb weight of only 7,700 kilograms, its full weight with a semitrailer reaches 38 tons! At the same time, the novelty is designed for transportation of goods not only to interregional, but also to international destinations. And it can transport everything from foam to oil products. The novelty is equipped with the same engine of the model 740.51 with a power of 260 horsepower. It is worth noting that this capacity is not sufficient for transportation of bulky goods. The maximum speed that a truck can develop is 90 kilometers per hour. The transmission, like all other models, is mechanical and has eleven stages. The total volume of fuel tanks is 295 liters (2 tanks of 125 and 170 liters, respectively). At a fuel consumption of 36 liters per 100 kilometers, the KAMAZ-65116 truck tractor is able to drive a rather long distance without refueling.

Of course, any long-range vehicle should be as comfortable as possible for the driver, otherwise he will be constantly harassed by a feeling of fatigue and drowsiness. It is worth noting that the cabin has two seats (for the driver and passenger). It provides for the accommodation of a bed. But here there is one minus - from the conveyor the car goes with one berth. So when working with a partner this machine will not be the best option. Unlike the "wooden" seats in the old models for the novelty is installed a comfortable chair of the brand "Grammer". It is equipped with pneumatic adjustment, which is very rare for KAMAZ vehicles. The steering wheel and dashboard have a completely new look. The torpedo is trimmed with high-quality plastic. Unlike its predecessors, the instrument panel has been slightly deployed to the driver for greater convenience (this design resembles the interior of "Scania", "Dafa" and many other European trucks). KAMAZ-65116: price

The minimum cost of a new car is about 1 million 760 thousand rubles. Often, private carrier firms for such a price acquire similar tractors of American production (of course, used ones). But still KAMAZ keeps at the height and actively travels around the Russian expanses.
