Itching in the groin

Signs of sexually transmitted diseases in men are manifested in the form of urethral discharge, sensation of erection and burning during urination and ejaculation.

The predisposing factor to the development of the condition is thrush (candidiasis). This disease is considered a very common ailment.

In addition, the sensation of itching is accompanied by a disease such as bacterial vaginosis (a disorder in the balance of the microflora in the vagina). This ailment arises often as a result of non-observance or incorrect observance of hygienic norms, wearing tight underwear, taking antibiotics, and causing intestinal infections.

There is a group of gynecological diseases, accompanied by itching. The most common include colpitis (inflammatory process in the cervix), kraurosis of the vulva (decrease in size). In the second case, the itching sensation is so strong that it often leads to a mental disorder.

Causes of itching in the groin in men

The most common, itch-provoking factors include inflammation of the head and foreskin. The disease is called balanoposthitis. In addition to clinical manifestations, the disease has quite severe consequences.

The itch of the penis head after sexual contact may indicate the increased acidity of the vaginal discharge from the partner.

Such a disease, as scabies, can occur in both men and women. As a rule, the symptom of this disease is worse at night.

Of course, the treatment of itching depends on the cause that provoked it. If the cause of the condition is in a venereal disease or inflammatory process, the treatment is directed at its elimination.

It should be noted that it is difficult to get rid of some ailments. This, for example, refers to genital herpes.

As a rule, with any cause of itching, antihistamines are prescribed (Tavegil, Suprastin, Loratadin). They help reduce the intensity of itching. In addition, in many cases, the appointment of sedatives (novo-passita, valerian) is advisable.
