In 2006, JSC AvtoVAZ began the first cycle of preparation for the release of the new model Lada Priora. The car, which received the index of 2170, was created on the basis of the Lada-110 model, taking the platform and the engine from it. In fact, "Priora" was an in-depth restyling of "dozens." The design noted about a thousand changes, both superficial and fundamental. To "Priora" has passed the extensive nomenclature of details of an interior and a luggage space. Exterior "Lada Priora", clearance and many other parameters of the running gear differed from the data of the 110th model. The doors became wider by 5 mm, which forced the stamping shop of the plant in Togliatti to rebuild several punches and matrices. Thus, the identity of "Lada-110" and "Lada Priora" was minimized. AvtoVAZ engineers counted over a thousand details that distinguished the former "Lada" from the new one, and radically changed the design of the "dozens." External attributes, moldings, cast rims, exterior door handles, front optics, tail lights, hood, trunk, feathers and the whole exterior breathed newness. A successful solution

The interior of "Lada Priora", the clearance of which assumed a high enough landing, was developed in the Italian city of Turin, in the engineering design studio of Cancerano. The interior is dominated by a modern style of interior car design. It was possible to eliminate the shortcomings of past design developments in the interior of the 110th model. The exterior design has also undergone changes. The overly accentuated boundary zone between the roof and the rest of the body along the line of the rear pillar was abolished. Interior

Salon in terms of space has not changed, all internal dimensions remain the same, similar to the 110th model. The amplitude of the adjustment of the front seats leaves much to be desired. The sled is obviously insufficient in length, and if a tall man sits behind the wheel, he will be uncomfortable in the "tight" condition. At the same time, the passive safety of the machine has been increased, shock-absorbing inserts appeared in the front doors and in the torpedo, which are organically integrated into the structure.
