Is it true that thick models are again popular?

Recently, thick fashion models are again entering into fashion. Photos of these dumplings are increasingly appearing on the pages of glossy magazines. Looking at them, skinny girls begin to look around cautiously, waiting for when the new fashion boom will sweep everything around. But is it really as it seems at first glance, or is the popularity of fat women just a fleeting phenomenon?

The Kingdom of Exquisite Style

The world of fashion is unstable, and everyone living in it is well aware. But even in such conditions, the approach of change is always accompanied by noise and a certain amount of indignation. Especially when it comes to changes that can completely break the habitual stereotypes.

It's no secret that in the last decades designers have attracted exclusively thin girls to their shows. And any attempts to change this at best led to the fact that the innovator was considered an oddball. Simply put, in the fashion world there was no such thing as a "thick model".

No, of course, some designers still produced clothing lines designed for lush women. However, no one represented them at the shows in Milan, and even more so the thick models did not pose for the covers of the leading glossy magazines.

How did the thin people make their way to the big podium?

So, why did it happen that the thick models were out of work? Why is there a monopoly of slender bodies in the world? And what did this lead to?

It should be noted that until the 70s of the last century, girls in the body were very popular. Take, for example, Marilyn Monroe, which for a long time was the standard of female beauty and charm. Yes, it was not thick, but it's not cumbersome. But with the arrival of the 80's everything changed dramatically - the thin models completely "crushed" the big podium under themselves.

Part of this was due to the fact that designers, in their desire to save cloth, began to sew dresses for small and slender girls. The rest is caused by propaganda from the same glossy publications and television. As a result, thick models were left out of work, bitterly recalling the old days.

The new "boom" in the world of high fashion

And now, 30 years after the victorious triumph of thin people, the situation is changing again. And now the thick female models are beginning to displace the competitor from the podiums and photography. Perhaps, someone might think that this is only a fleeting phenomenon, unable to influence the overall picture as a whole. However, enthusiastic reviews of the public about lush beauties tell us about something else.

At the same time every year the number of fans of such stars only grows. Considering this, one should not be surprised that many designers, sensing a new opportunity to get fame, began to sew more and more dresses for plump models. That, in turn, only intensified the excitement around this topic.

Tara Lynn - the most famous model of the category "plus"

To date, the most famous model, which has extremely lush forms, is Tara Lynn. The future star was born in Canada, February 25, 1982. She graduated from a drama university. This allowed her to become an actress and play in several films.

But the furore in the fashion world, she made thanks to the Spanish magazine Elle. After all, this edition in 2010 published original photos. In this case, the appearance of the girl so much liked fashionmakers, that she was soon invited to a photo shoot for another fashion glossy - Vogue Italia.

After that, Tara's career skyrocketed. And the fact that she is the most fat model in the world, absolutely did not bother the public. True, soon the lady lost this title, because other global models presented themselves to the world view.

A new generation of dumplings from glossy magazines

Following the example of Tara Lynn, many girls in the body also began to make their way to the fashion podium. Perhaps the greatest furor produced by Tess Holliday, whose photo on the cover of her magazine published the world-famous publication People in June 2015.

Tess Holliday is the thickest model in the world. Its weight is 126 kilograms, and this is with an increase of 1 m 65 cm. However, even despite such dimensions, many consider it very attractive and ... sexy. Furthermore! Millions of people around the world made her their idol, as she lets them know that a large body is not an object for complexes.

Naturally, such glory does not wait for all the dumplings. However, the results of such a revolution are already making themselves felt. So, since 2006, many modeling agencies refuse to work with girls, whose weight is very small. And this is only the beginning. Therefore, who knows, it is possible that in the near future thick models will completely replace the former anorexic beauties, thereby revenging them for their former offenses.
