Information systems in economics

Information systems in the economy are represented in the form of organizational and technical systems designed to perform some computing work or services that meet the needs of the management system and its users (for example, management personnel, external users). They function within the framework of the management system and fully comply with their objectives.

Information systems in the economy participate in activities related to the use of relevant products. A typical example of such work is the use of information management technologies.

Information systems in the economy have a methodological basis, represented by a system approach, according to which different systems are a set of objects working in close interaction to achieve one common goal.

Such systems can be a combination of some functional structure: mathematical, information, organizational, personnel and technical support, integrated into an entire system for the purpose of collecting, issuing and processing the necessary information in the performance of management functions.

Information systems in the economy are provided by such data flows:

- From the external environment to the management system. On the one hand, this is a stream of normative information that is created by state institutions within the framework of the current legislation, and on the other hand, data containing information on the market situation created by suppliers, consumers and competitors.

- The flow directed from the management system to the external environment in the form of reporting information provided to state bodies, creditors, investors and consumers, as well as marketing information to a certain range of consumers.

- The flow of information from the management system, aimed at the object, has the form of normative, planned and administrative information in the implementation of economic processes.

The enterprise information system is capable of solving the following tasks:

- ensuring the guarantee of the required quality of enterprise management;

- Increase of efficiency and efficiency of interaction of units among themselves;

- achievement of high quality of the products;

- increasing the economic efficiency of the economic activity of the entity;

- creation of a statistical accounting system;

- implementation of the enterprise development forecast;

- Creation of a system of operational and strategic planning, as well as forecasting.

Information systems of the enterprise are guided by the tactical direction of management. This is the analysis, and medium-term planning, and the organization of work for several weeks. An example is the planning and analysis of supplies, production programs. This class of tasks is characterized by the regulation of the formation of final documents and specifically defined the algorithm for solving such tasks as the list of orders when forming a production program and determining the requirements for materials on the basis of the necessary specialization.
