Large breeds of dogs - for lovers to note!

The fact that the dog - a friend of man, that the beast - our smaller brothers, we hear from an early age. And the baby, who has just begun to sound meaningfully the first sounds, the native insistently teach: "Say gav-gav, meow-meow!" So the natural world naturally enters the human world, remaining one of the main components.

And, perhaps, there is not on the Earth a child who does not dream of having his own dog. And the dog is big.

Large breeds of dogs, indeed, are very attractive. Massive, shaggy, they look like huge plush toys - soft, warm and funny at the same time. With such a dog it's nice to be on the street. Passers-by, regardless of gender and age, will look at you cautiously and respectfully part ways, giving way. Friends with envy will begin to ask permission to stroke, hold the leash, loudly express their admiration for your pet. And in the house to remain in the company of the shaggy, caudal four-legged creature, weighing like a good weight lifter, is also never scary.

So it's safe to say: large breeds of dogs - it's great, great, cool!

Here are just a few "but" can be a little less desire to buy a nice bundle, six months later, threatening to turn into a "woolen" giant

Features of keeping large animals

The room

It is clear that the big dogs of the breed St. Bernard, Mastiff, Rottweiler, Boxer, Doberman and others for living require a lot of space. It is difficult to imagine that the "carcass" is almost a meter high, weighing at least 50 kg, curled up, fits on the rug near the front door. No! Such dogs need a lot of living space. And not only to freely stretch from muzzle to tail, but also to run, stretch muscles. Therefore, an apartment in a high-rise building, a standard small-sized (1-2-room) and densely populated by people, at best can accommodate only a cat. Or some small yapping creation like dachshund, Pekingese or Yorkshire terrier.

Large breeds of dogs require a spacious multi-room apartment with a long wide corridor where you can have fun playing with the owners, chasing a ball or bringing a "stick-office", with a large kitchen and bathroom. Pets should also have their rightful resting place (of course, the dog can be arranged in the room, but so that it does not interfere with sleeping its inhabitants). And in summer the big dogs are very hot, especially those who have thick and long hair. Therefore, of course, the largest breeds of dogs, such as the Kuvasz Hungarian, Wolfhound, Shepherds, especially Caucasians, Newfoundland, English Mastiff, should not live on floors. They are comfortable in a private house, preferably in open-air cages on the street, well-equipped, where there is shelter from the weather and free access to open space.

It is believed that the large breeds of dogs are very friendly, easy to give, love children and stand up for the hosts. But we know a lot of cases when all members of the family, especially children, became victims of inadequacy of their pets. Such an animal, losing control, in a moment turns into a cruel killer. Therefore, raising a large four-legged friend, it is better to be safe.

Care

Dogs usually molt twice a year or large. Wools then pour a lot from them, especially if it is thick, long. To clean an apartment after such a household is complicated. After all, the animal lies not only on the floor in its corner, but also walks through all the rooms (and on the floors there can lie carpets, paths), climbs onto the sofas, chairs, leaving their marks everywhere. In addition, shaggy pets should be combed, and during moulting - especially often. The content of the dog in the enclosure will facilitate the care of it at times.

Food

Practically every breed has its own diet and diet. And yet there are some general recommendations. First of all, vegetables and fruits, i.e. Vitamins in kind, give the animals necessarily! Suitable carrots, apples, beets, cabbage, chopped or rubbed on a coarse grater. Naturally, to such a diet to accustom the pet follows from a small age - about, months from 5-6.

Necessarily need porridge - buckwheat, oatmeal, egg, cooked with beef meat or on a meat broth. They saturate the body, give strength and energy, microelements necessary for normal life.
All other food, including dry food, as well as canned food, should be coordinated with specialist dog specialists. You can get acquainted with the canine diet in special profile literature.

Training and education

Each dog has its own character and inherent in this breed features and qualities. Councils of specialists and books of the corresponding subjects will prompt how correctly to organize the process of training and get the best result.

Regardless of whether the representative of the largest breed has appeared in your family or the smallest, it equally needs love, affection and care. With their presence, the dog will become your most devoted, selfless friend for many years.
