How to do namaz
First, let's define what is namaz? Namaz is a prayer performed by an orthodox Muslim, which is held every day five times and is addressed to Allah. The first words about Namaz can be seen in the Qur'an, incidentally, very often, but basically there it is said about the evening prayer, which occurs at sunset - such a purification procedure for every Muslim. In fact, prayer is one of the five pillars of Islam, so prayer five times a day is a must for a believing Muslim. In addition to forced prayers, which are called "pharys", there are also "nefeli" - voluntary namaz. So, how to learn to do Namaz? This will be discussed later.
Legend
Before telling how to do prayer, I would like to tell a story that tells about the meeting of the Almighty Allah and the Prophet Muhammad on the Night of the Ascension. Every Muslim knows this holiday, no matter where in the world it is. The legend says that Allah, for those who preach Islam, installed first 50 prayers a day. After a complaint about this to Archangel Jabrail, the prophet addressed the same request to the Supreme Creator and reduced the number of prayers to ten. But after the Archangel Jebrail advised once again to ask Allaah to ease the duty of prayers, Muhammad turned to Gd again and again. As a result, the number of obligatory prayers decreased from ten to five.
According to the legend, the first man of the Muslim faith who performed the prayer, and became the very Muhammad, and his mentor was Archangel Jabriel. The place of the first prayer is called Kaabu, which is located in Sacred Mecca. Since that time the form of the prayer has not changed at all.
Time of five prayers
Each of the five daily prayers has its own name and is always done at the same time. So, the first morning prayer (Fajr) must be done in an hour and a half, as the dawn comes. The second noon prayer (iyle) is performed after 13 hours after the first. Two and a half hours before sunset, the third prayer (ikende) is performed. The fourth evening prayer (ahsham) is done after sunset for one and a half hours. The last mandatory namaz, which Muslims call the yasta, can be performed during the entire time preceding the morning prayer of the Fajr. It is forbidden to pray at the time of sunrise, zenith and sunset, for according to the Quran it is worship of the Sun, but not to Allah.
Conditions for Salat
So, we learn to do namaz. In order to perform prayer, several basic conditions must be observed:
- Without fail, before you do namaz you need to do a bathing ceremony;
- Do not use alcohol, drugs or drugs, as this affects the perception of the world - a Muslim should be in a sober mind and memory;
- A place for prayer must be distinguished by purity;
- Clean clothes with floors no lower than the ankles - this is the key to successful prayer;
- When praying, the face of the worshiper should be directed towards Kibla or the Kaaba;
- A Muslim should have a firm intention to perform a prayer, or in another way, niyat. Therefore, before making namaz, he must speak about it.
The process of performing prayer
The whole process of prayer consists of several rakahatas, the number of which must necessarily be divided into two. Rakagata are called Sun rituals, during which the verses and suras from the Holy Qur'an are read, as well as the waist (rakug) and the earthly (sejde) bows. All this is done on a prayer mat, which Muslims call namazlyk. In doing so, the person praying must necessarily look to the point to which he presses his forehead during the next bow. Religion calls this point the ear of Allah. This is how God listens to everything that sinners tell him in prayers.
In order to understand how to do namaz you need to be a true Muslim. It is necessary to grow in this environment, to accustom to it from childhood. An adult who first encountered prayer, it is very difficult to penetrate into these rituals, composed for many centuries.
