How to cook zucchini
Zucchini - the plant is rather unpretentious in cultivation and therefore popular. They can be fried, stewed, stuffed, cooked, in any case the food from zucchini will turn out delicious and very useful. There are a large number of recipes with this vegetable, which differ not only in the preparation methods, but also with the additional ingredients used along with the main product.
For preparation it is better to take a fresh young fruit with a thin skin, not more than 15 centimeters long and a small diameter. Talking about how to prepare zucchini, do not forget that they can be used in salads in raw form. To do this, the young fruit is thoroughly washed and cut into thin plates, like a cucumber. Another option is to rub this vegetable on a grater. These dishes are filled with vegetable oil or a small amount of sour cream. It should be noted that thus much more useful substances are stored.
Most housewives love to fry zucchini. There are a few secrets. It should be noted that the less oil is used for frying, the more delicious and low-calorie the dish will turn out. Before cooking zucchini in this way, they are washed, dried on a paper towel and cut into thin slices. In a separate dish mix a small amount of flour, salt and seasonings. Each piece is dipped in this mixture on both sides, put on a heated frying pan. Instead of salt and seasonings, you can take a bouillon cube, which from above sprinkle the dish before frying. The most useful option for how to cook zucchini, is their quenching or boiling. With this method, not only will many useful substances contained in the fruit remain, but the dish will not contain as many calories.
There are several ways. One of them, which is suitable for children, is the following. The small squash is cut along into 4-6 pieces, resulting in thin strips resembling boats. They descend into boiling water for 3-4 minutes, get, sprinkle with vegetable oil, lemon juice, sprinkle with herbs.
You can make stewed zucchini with rice, they can become a full-fledged second course, diversifying the daily menu. To do this, several small fresh tomatoes are covered with boiling water, peeled and finely chopped. In a saucepan (it is better to use a scallop or a small cauldron), a little vegetable oil is poured, tomatoes are laid and stewed for 10 minutes over medium heat. At this time, smoked sausage of any kind is cut with straw, added to the dishes, the pan is left on the fire for another 10 minutes. While the ingredients are being prepared, marrows are cut into small cubes, put to the rest together with tomato paste, the dish is salted and mixed. The rice is washed, put in a dish, a little water is poured, everything is left for 15 minutes on a small fire. Shortly before the end of cooking, chopped herbs, spices, and a little more salt are placed here.
If we talk about how to cook zucchini stuffed, then it's better to take sorts of rounded shape, so it will be much more convenient to fill them, but you can also use the usual vegetables with a slightly oblong form. For the filling use the very flesh, carefully cleaned with a spoon, mixed with buckwheat, pearl barley, rice or other porridges. In addition, many vegetables, mushrooms, minced meat can be taken here. The stuffed zucchini is baked in the oven for a few minutes, sprinkled with grated cheese.
