How many eyes does a spider have, and what kinds of spiders are there?

Most people are afraid of spiders or treat them with disgust, but in vain, because these are very interesting and completely unexplored earthly beings. Many call them insects, but they are not. Spiders refer to ancient arthropod animals.

In all spiders, the body consists of an abdomen, a cephalothorax, four pairs of paws and a spinning aggregate. But how many eyes the spider has is a separate issue. The lifespan of these creatures reaches 30 years, and it must be said that most of them do not die from natural causes. The smallest spider has a size of no more than 0.5 mm, and the largest one reaches almost 30 cm. To date, there are about 42,000 species of spiders that live now, more than one thousand fossil species, in addition, new ones are constantly opening.

All known species of these animals are predators. But Bagheera Kiplingi is 90% eating plant food. They live on acacias and feed on special structures located on the tips of leaves, in which there are many proteins and lipids. And only during a severe drought they can eat each other.

Let's return to the question of how many eyes the spider has. To begin with, the eyes of different families of these animals are very different. Some of them need sight for catching prey, and someone else does well without it.

The eyes of a spider that hunts without the usual network are very well developed. They have eight, and the field of view is almost 360. Two main eyes are located in front and look straight, another pair looks forward and sideways. The next pair is directed to the sides, and the latter is located in the back of the head on the sides. This species includes representatives of spiders-horses and spiders-wolves. If anyone is interested to see how many eyes the spider has, the photo is attached.

But cave spiders live in the dark. They either see very badly, or do not see at all. They all depend on the sensations and sounds. Spider-spiders have very small eyes, because they practically do not need vision. They have a well-developed sense mechanism, which reacts to the movements of the network's hunters.

A variety of spiders are represented by families, each of which consists of a variety of species. The first such family is the kenizid spiders, which mostly inhabit the tropics and subtropics. During the day they sit in their holes, and at night go out to hunt.

Linophy is another family. It includes small spiders, who around their homes weave the net and use them to hunt.

Only one species belongs to the water family, which lives practically everywhere. Such spiders live in the coastal zone, where there is dense vegetation.

Representatives of the vagrant family lead a rather active lifestyle, like to change their habitat. They do not have a dwelling, so they do not set traps either, but they just throw on the prey, because they have good eyesight. And how many eyes does the spider's family have? This predator has four pairs.

Another family is wolf-spiders. There are more than 2 thousand varieties. They got their name because they live in burrows and eat their own kind.

Migalomorphic spiders are a family that is also called excavators. These representatives live in burrows. And one of the species builds a three-chamber burrow. The entrance to each chamber is carefully covered with a lid from the web, and if someone enters one of the cameras, the spider runs to another "room".

These representatives of our fauna can be spoken endlessly. There are too many of them, they all lead different lives and are the most ancient inhabitants of our planet. In the frozen amber found a web, whose age is not less than 100 million years.
