"Happy Days"

The director and producer of the television tape was Harry Marshall. The comedy was shot for ten years, beginning in 1974. It was filmed eleven seasons, each of which was attended by Winkler.

The series "Happy Days" (Henry Winkler played Fonzi) showed an idealized world in the United States of the fifties and sixties of the twentieth century. The action takes place in Milwaukee, a city in the state of Wisconsin. In the center of the storyline is the family of a teenager Richie, who owns a convenience store.

Initially, the director of the series in the role of Fonzi represented another actor. He saw the character as a man with an Italian type of appearance, such as Ron Howard. However, the Yale student was able to reveal the image entirely from the other side. So Winkler was successfully auditioned and reincarnated in Fonzi for ten years.

Gradually, the character that Henry played was in the middle of a television comedy. At the same time, with the leadership of the channel on which the show was filmed, there were disagreements about the appearance of the hero, namely his jacket. So, the actor considered it appropriate to wear worn leather clothes, and the channel's representatives believed that this makes the character similar to the criminal. They wanted to see Fonzie in the green windbreaker. In the case, the director intervened, who discussed the problem with the channel. By common consent it was decided that the character can appear in a leather jacket in scenes with a motorcycle. Since that time, the hero never left his motorcycle.

"Do not Mess with the Zohan"

The actor's collaboration with director Adam Sandler began in 1998, when he invited him to play in the film "Mama's Son". And in 2008, the rental went "Do not Mess with the Zohan." Henry Winkler played a major role in the comedy that tells the story of the life of an Israeli commando named Zohan Dvir. The hero staged his own death and moved to New York with the goal of becoming a hairdresser and not chasing more for the Arab terrorist Phantom. The picture ridicules the conflict between Arabs and Jews.

The plot ends successfully, because the enemies (Zohan and Phantom) reconciled with each other and together decided to teach the racists in the United States. Thus, representatives of both nationalities began to live in peace.

Henry Winkler was four times nominated for the Golden Globe Award as the best actor. He was able to receive this award twice, for his role in "Happy Days".
