Repeater WiFi - device for signal amplification

With the advent of wireless WiFi, there was a need for devices that extend the area of the WiFi signal. Wireless Internet is necessary for the operation of various mobile devices (laptops, netbooks, smartphones, tablets, printers, etc.) on the World Wide Web and on the local network.

In its idea, WiFi, used to create a home network, should be distributed throughout the house and even the personal plot, not limited to just one small room. Also, the wireless WiFi network is used to create so-called "hot spots". This is the space within which you can get free access to the Internet, for example, large shopping centers, street cafes, airports, libraries, etc.

As you know, the speed of the Internet deteriorates with increasing distance from the source of the signal. To solve this problem, use a special device - a repeater WiFi. In another way, it is called a repeater, or repeater.

WiFi repeater performs the following function: repeats the signal that comes from the router and increases the range of WiFi up to 15-20 meters. You can say that the repeater is a network amplifier.

The WiFi repeater is a device that resembles a charger. Plug it into an electrical outlet in the room where you need to amplify the signal.

When connecting a WiFi repeater, you need to do the following:

• Through the patch cord connect the WiFi repeater to the outlet and the computer.
• In the computer, make these settings: go to the "Control Panel" menu, then select "Network and Internet", then "Network and Sharing Center" later - "Change adapter settings".
• Next, you need to select "Local Area Connection" and, by right-clicking, you need to enter "Properties".
• In the "Properties" you need to pay attention to the following item: "Protocol version 4 (TCP / IPv4) - Properties". In the event that there is already a local network created through the router and everything is configured automatically, you should temporarily change the settings and enter: "Repeater settings".
• After saving the new settings, you must go to the browser at the address: 192.168.10.1. This address is set as the gateway, and will also be the IP address of the WiFi repeater. Then you need to enter the default data: admin-admin and activate the Wireless Repeater Mode (Station).
• The next step is to find the router and make a connection to it.
• In the event that the WiFi network is password protected, you will need to configure the encryption type to be the same as the one in the router.
• Next, you enter your login and password to access the Internet.

After configuration, you can disconnect the cable that the repeater connected to the computer. The WiFi repeater is ready for use. Those settings that have been changed during the connection, you can return to the original state.

Using a WiFi repeater, you can be sure that even in the farthest corner of the room, the signal will now be good and stable.

But, unfortunately, in the installation of the WiFi accelerator there are small cons. These devices are not very practical for home use. Typically, the WiFi repeater is installed exactly halfway between the computer and the router and must be plugged into an electrical outlet, which is not always convenient.
