Is it difficult to make it yourself?

Therefore, an infrared gas burner is made by oneself very quickly (as practice shows, it takes no more than 30-40 minutes to work), and even a novice master can understand its construction. Scope and design elements

It is used mainly for heating and drying materials, for cutting metal products, including pipes, and burning old paint. The metal case (including a special glass that does not let the wind blow out the flame), a nozzle (for ignition of fuel), a handle that is attached to the body (by the way, its length should not be more than 100 centimeters), a holder ( Mounted on a handle and made of wood or heat-resistant plastic), as well as a gas hose. In addition, there is a reducer and a supply tube with a valve. The latter regulates the level of gas supply and, correspondingly, the length of the flame, too.

How is a mini gas burner made by yourself?

You can start with the easiest - from the handle. It can be made of wood, and it is best to take it from any burnt soldering iron. The lead pipe should be made of steel. Pay special attention to the size. The optimal diameter of the tube should be about 1 centimeter. The thickness is no more than 2-2.5 millimeters. This tube must be inserted into the handle and locked. This can be done with conventional glue.

Housing

We also make it from steel, namely from a brass rod 2 cm wide. From it, you can also make a dissector. Next, you need to make a few holes. This is necessary in order to ensure a normal supply of oxygen. Otherwise, at the slightest draft, the flame of the burner will go out or the gas from the nozzle will not light up. How many holes do you need to make? They are in a total of 4, each of which has a diameter of 1 millimeter. These holes must be made in the rod of the dissector. In addition, drill 2 radical holes of 5 millimeters directly into the shell. All this will contribute to the normal combustion of fuel in the device, which will positively affect the speed and quality of the work performed.

How is the self-made gas burner going on? Next, you need to press the splitter into the body. In this case, the inner flange should be installed with a small clearance (not less than 0.6 millimeters). This gap will serve to inhibit the flow of gas, which is supplied to the ignitor's orifice.

How to make a nozzle?

It will be ground out of a metal rod. In order to make a hole in the nozzle, you will need to apply a 2-millimeter drill and make a blind hole. In this case, the distance to the exit should be at least one and a half millimeters. For a jumper, try on a drill with a diameter of 4 mm. The completed hole is crocheted with a hammer, then the end of the device is ground with sandpaper. It must be processed until the injector can be screwed onto the threaded end of the tube.

Now the end of the tube is put on the hose (it comes from the gas cylinder reducer ) made of special rubber-fabric material. It is fixed with a conventional clamp using a cross or minus screwdriver. When the working pressure is set, produce gas and inject the nozzle into the flame of the gas burner. Do this only after the substance has completely displaced the air from the hose. The top of the part should be polished. Process it until the length of the torch torch is about 50 millimeters.

How to put all these elements together?

The body together with the divider should be screwed onto the external thread of the injector. At the same time, a gas burner, made with all the recommendations in mind, should give an even flame. It is important to ensure that during combustion, the fuel does not emit soot.

What should I do if the burner smokes and gives an uneven flame? In this case, you need to gradually turn the body on the threads of the injector. Do this until the gas produces such a characteristic smoke. If the threaded connection is very loose, seal it with a PCM tape. A few words about the order of work with the tool

In order for the gas burner, made with its own hands, to be safe to use, before checking it for the first time, be sure to check its parts for leaks, namely solder joints, connectors for connectors and sleeves.
