Introduction

(5 minutes)

Hello guys, I'm very glad to see you in this lesson. The topic today will be extremely interesting, we will talk about the war, as well as the mournful past of our Fatherland. Some events we should not, not even have the right to forget, it is to such can be attributed every day, every minute of the Great War! We must remember the names of those who, at the cost of their lives, their health, their future, defended every inch of their native land.

When you entered the classroom, you heard a wonderful song, and even if you did not listen to the words, its message was still clear to you. What do you think, what mood did the singer try to convey? (Happy, cheerful, easy, proud ...)

This is a victorious march, and it is connected with a great date in the history of our country - the day of the Great Victory. And why in the song there are lines "this is joy with tears in your eyes"? Because before the victory there was a long and terrible war.

Great War

(10 minutes)

And what about the terrible war? War is pain, death of many people, hunger, suffering.

Right. All of you, of course, heard about the victory of the army of the USSR in the Great Patriotic War. But not everyone understands how hard, what forces it was achieved. This is our today's occupation. After all, it is you, the younger generation, who have the honor to store this experience, this memory and pass it on to your descendants, so that never again this will happen again.

But let's take the same steps. The Great Patriotic War called military events that occurred in the middle of the twentieth century, more than seventy years ago, between the USSR and fascist Germany. Fascists could come to power in the world, who wanted to destroy entire nations on earth.

Which of you grandfathers, great-grandfathers, and maybe other relatives fought on the battlefields? (They raise their hands)

Do you know how this war started?

Your great-grandmothers and great-grandfathers were very young at that time, perhaps they had just graduated from school, and some, perhaps, still studied. So, in the morning, when it was just beginning to dawn, a strong and resonant voice of the radio director Yury Borisovich Levitan thundered over the country (an entry about the declaration of war is included).

Thousands of fascist guns thundered simultaneously with this voice on the borders of our country, and everyone knew that war had come. The war, which lasted almost fifteen hundred days, took more than one million Soviet lives.

Can you calculate how old it is? (4 years)

But which was won.

Heroic pioneer feat

(20 minutes.)

Do you know that there are many names of those who were not much older than you in the lists of the names of the heroes of this war? I'm talking about the pioneer heroes who fought for their country, only not raising their weapons often. To know these names is worth it, it is a tribute of respect, which each of them, undoubtedly, deserved.

(Slide 1)

I'll tell you about a very young girl, Zina Portnova, who was only sixteen at the time of the beginning of the war. Oh, how much it all fell to the lot of this girl, she visited the ranks of the partisans and made sorties into the camp of the enemy, and later settled in the enemy's kitchen and mixed the Germans with poison into the food. Once she was even suspected of this and forced to try the poisoned soup herself, she almost died, but still remained alive and continued to help the Soviet troops in every possible way. Up until the moment when she was caught and after long torture was sent to be shot. What in her short life did she see Zina Portnov, who was eighteen years old at the time of her death? Probably nothing. Never mind. And she understood every day of her life that she could die. So why then took risks? Because of the love of the Motherland, the desire to win.

Right. But in the list of names of pioneer heroes this name is far from the only one.

(Slide 2)

In the annals of the Great Patriotic War there are many glorious names, and one of them is Vitya Cherevichkin. The most ordinary boy of twelve, who was very fond of his domestic birds. He planted houses of snow-white pigeons under the roof. When the Germans came to the town where Vitya lived, the pigeons were forbidden to breed, since the fascists feared that with their help the local people would be able to transfer the ciphers of the Soviet army. And only the boy Vitya disobeyed this order, for which he was shot.

How do you think, how does this act characterize the Soviet boy Vitya? (Brave, brave, patriot ...)

(Slide 3)

Well, another boy, about whom I will tell you today, is Volodya Dubynin.

He was among the partisans who fought near the city of Kerch. The fourteen-year-old boy persistently insisted that adults take him into their ranks. He was a real scout, independently extracted the most valuable information about the number of enemy troops, their location, etc.

Kerch was liberated, but Volodya still helped the Soviet troops. He helped professional sappers to clear the territory near his native city. Volodya Dubynin blew up one of these mines. At that time he was only fifteen. And what can you say about this man? (Resolute, persistent, real hero, brave boy).

Even the children understood at the time that they had to make every effort to win and took risks at the cost of their lives.

Conclusion

(10 min)

Patriotism is an amazing quality that can make a little person truly a hero. And this is not all the names and surnames, which could be told today.

Among the Soviet heroes are the names of men, women, old people and children. Everyone did everything he could to win.

In this lesson I want to give you an important task. When you come home, ask your relatives, perhaps there are war participants among your relatives. And then write a short essay - a story about this person. Tell him about what he did, whether he received awards and where he fought. Ask to find in the family photo archive his photo. Then from these works we will create the whole exhibition where you can get acquainted with the deeds of great people, winners.

Do you guys help create such an exhibition? (Positive answers)

In conclusion, I want to ask you why the children that I told you today are called heroes? (They did not spare their lives for the sake of the Motherland)

You have absolutely understood everything. War is a terrible event, and to decide to sacrifice one's life for the sake of victory is a real feat.

Analysis of extra-curricular activities on history

Extra-curricular event on the history of Russia was carried out according to this plan. Extra-curricular event on history was chosen very topical, especially when you consider that this year is the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory. This class hour should be held in conjunction with similar topics, telling about the heroes of the Great Patriotic War, about the events of the war and about the victory. Only then will students get a fully formed view of this historical period.

Executing tasks

The set goal and tasks for the results of the event will be fulfilled if the guys learn new material and make some conclusions for themselves. This extra-curricular event on history is more educational in nature, conducted in the form of free conversation, which gives students a keen interest, and the task that they will receive after the end of the lesson, almost everyone should fulfill. In their writings, the guys write that they are proud of their Motherland, as well as the grandfathers who fought for the victory. And some even mention the fact that they themselves would act like pioneer heroes.

Results of the work done

Themes of extra-curricular activities for fifth-graders exist different, and, perhaps, they tell the story of wars early, but every person living in our country should know the events of the Great Patriotic War. Thus, it can be said with certainty that the event was not wasted, but will remain in the memory of the children, will help them later in history lessons and will reflect on their attitude to the history of their people. This development of extracurricular activities on history can well be used not only in the fifth grade. Similar events, as well as history lessons on the same topic will be useful at any age. Topics of extracurricular activities on a similar topic are systematically held in our schools.
