Exercise on the racetrack: how to pass the driving test?

To pass the excellent exam of the traffic police from the first time it turns out not everyone. But the cherished driving license you want to get as soon as possible. To cope with excitement, thoroughly prepare for theory and practice is necessary for everyone who intends to perform perfectly all the exercises on the circuit.

The GIBDD exam consists of a theoretical and practical part. The first is to check the knowledge of the traffic rules, on the topic of medical care, car devices and so on. For most examiners, these questions do not cause difficulties. A practical part is exercises on the circuit, which will show the ability to park, drive into the garage and so on.

Exercises in the Autodrome

To date, the circuit is performing five tasks. Examination exercises are called so:

  • "Turn around".
  • "Overpass on the circuit".
  • "Snake".
  • "Parallel parking".
  • "Back reversal".

The principle of performing the elements of a practical exam on an autodrome may differ in some aspects from what the instructor has taught. All the nuances depend on the arrangement of the figures on the site, the dimensions of the car, the features of the controls and other things. However, if you generally correctly perform all the elements and take into account the instructions of your teacher, then most likely, your passing the exam will be successful the first time.

"Overpass"

The initial position for the performance of the "Overpass" exercise on the racetrack - the car is stopped at the "Start" strip. On the first transfer, you reach the first stop line, press the clutch and stop. Do not remove the feet from the clutch and brake pedals, put the car on the handbrake. After that, release the brake and press the gas. At the same time, you need to monitor the revs on the tachometer. Once they have grown to two thousand, the gas pedal is fixed, and the clutch is gently released.

Then the revolutions are reduced to one thousand. The clutch is fixed. The handbrake is released. Simultaneously, squeeze the gas again to two thousand revolutions. Slowly release the clutch. Then you arrive by car to the second stop-line, still holding two thousand revolutions. Completely turn off the clutch, the transmission is neutral. The car is put on the parking brake.

"Garage"

Exercise a garage or entry into the box starts from the start line. In the first transfer the car moves to the first flag. It symbolizes the wall of the building. The front right wheel should be just behind the mark, but not on a par. Then turn the steering wheel to the left and continue to move. You stop when in the left side mirror you see two flags indicating the beginning and end of the garage. Now the steering wheel needs to be turned to the right. This is to ensure that the front wheels of the vehicle are straight.

Squeeze the clutch, back in motion. Track the correctness of the trajectory of the car conveniently in the rear view mirror, or you can turn back. To stop the car it is necessary after the first flags (symbolizing the beginning of the garage) will be ahead of the front wing. The vehicle is transferred to a neutral gear and put on the handbrake.

"Snake"

Exercise "Snake" requires care and accuracy. The initial position is at the start line. The movement begins in the first gear. When performing this element, you will have to navigate through the marks on the site, wheels and mirrors of the car. Steer the wheel to the right until the left wheel of the vehicle crosses the imaginary line on which the flags are placed. After that, the steering wheel immediately begins to rotate in the opposite direction, so that the car is parallel to the exposed marks. Immediately after the left mirror is on par with the flag that symbolizes the beginning of a new turn, you need to start turning the steering wheel to the left.

Continue until the right front wheel crosses an imaginary straight line between the flags at the beginning of the turn to the left. Then the path aligns. When the right mirror reaches the line of the next mark, turn the steering wheel to the right. With the help of such turns you overcome the remaining distance between the flags, gradually approaching the finish line. The car should be stopped in front of the stop line. Set the lever to the neutral position, the vehicle to the parking brake. Exercise "Snake" is considered completed.

"Turning"

This element is considered the easiest in a practical exam on the circuit. The site for the exercise is limited. The length is equal to three car bodies plus one meter. Width - two cases. The initial position - you approach the start line. Stop. The downtime should not exceed thirty seconds. Start the movement. The front right wheel of the car should be as close as possible to the edge of the platform. Your vehicle should stop with the front wheels approximately in the middle of the border.

Then twist the steering wheel to the left. So you change the direction of the wheels. Start moving to the opposite border. Stop. Now twist the steering wheel all the way to the right. Back up until you have enough free space in front of your vehicle to complete the execution of the element. Executed is considered an exercise after you arrived at the finish line. It is worth noting that there is no need to go to the completion strip at a right angle. It is more important not to cross this border.

"Parallel parking"

Exercise "Parking" on the circuit starts, like the rest, from the starting line. In the first gear, go forward and stop so that the left front flag is behind the rear right wheel of the car. Stop. Then squeeze the clutch and go backward, while steering wheel rotate one turn to the right.

The movement continues until the rear left wheel of the vehicle crosses the imaginary line between the front and rear left flags. Stop. Twist the steering wheel to the maximum left. Start again in reverse. You stop it after the car has become exactly between the cones. Now turn off the clutch, the gear lever shifts to the neutral position. The car is put on the parking brake.

New exercises

In connection with the new regulations of 2016, the list of exam exercises has expanded. Earlier on the circuit there were three elements. Most often it was "Trestle" and two exercises selectively. After the introduction of the new rules, the exam already included five elements (for delivery on a regular site), six if it is automated.

The list of exercises under the new regulations is as follows:

  1. "Overpass".
  2. Maneuvering in a confined space. This exercise consists of three parts - a rotation of 90 °, "Snake" and a turn in a limited area. To surrender, two parts out of three are selected.
  3. Reversing.
  4. Entry into the box.
  5. "Parking" (entry and exit). Stop for boarding / disembarking passengers.
  6. Passage of an adjustable intersection (when passing the exam on an automated circuit).

What should I look for if I studied according to the old rules?

The new regulations have their own system of assessments, the number of attempts and time for the exam. So, according to the old rules, the exam is considered not performed if there are five or more penalty points. Also, for making three elements, four attempts are given and the right to err in one of them (that is, roughly speaking, not to pass one exercise). Now, according to the new regulations, the GIBDD exam received the following changes:

  • All elements are performed by one trip, and not separately, as before.
  • There was a temporary restriction. Now the performance takes about ten minutes.
  • The chance to make a mistake and to perform the element is again missing.
  • The scoring system was abolished. Now clearly described in the rules of the case, when the examiner did not pass the test (for example, three times stalled - did not pass).
  • Instead of the flags on the racetrack, cones are used. They are much lower. They are more difficult to detect. Therefore, if you were taught on the flags, then before passing the exam it makes sense to practice at the site with cones.
  • The new regulations have stricter distances. For example, according to the new rules, from the stop line on the overpass, you should stop at a distance of one meter. If you exceed this distance by even five centimeters, the exercise does not count.

There are not many changes. But they are essential. Therefore, it will be advisable to study the new regulations and train new exercises on the circuit.

Nuances of taking the exam at the racetrack

Do not know how to pass? Autodrome is a complicated thing, but you can study it. It is necessary to prepare simply qualitatively. A lot of information is provided in the textbooks. Every future driver should master all the elements of the exam, after all, when traveling around the city in the future you will have to perform much more complex maneuvers.

In connection with the new rule - the restriction on time - it is necessary for all examiners to be trained before handing over with a stopwatch. Calculate how many minutes you can spend on this or that element, where it is possible to save a few seconds and so on. It's important to feel confident, be attentive. It is necessary to concentrate on passing the exam. And only after a complete stop of the car, and the phrase "you handed over", told by the examiner, you can relax and breathe a sigh of relief.
