Call of Duty: Ghost: system requirements on PC

Call of Duty: Ghosts became the 10th game in the popular series of military shooters. The game was developed by the joint forces of the studios Infinity Ward, Raven Software and Neversoft. It was published by Activision on November 5, 2013 for PCs, consoles of old and new generation. Below, we give an overview, and also tell you which of Call of Duty: Ghost system requirements, Problems with the game and ways to solve them.

Single review

The Call of Duty series has been delighting fans of arcade shooters for over 10 years, bringing billions in revenues to the publisher. After the successful MW 2, the developers stopped adding anything radically new, in order to refresh the gameplay. Finally Infinity Ward decided to correct this situation, moving away from the themes of modern warfare (in 2012 the same experiment was very successfully conducted by Treyarch studio, releasing BO 2), creating Call of Duty: Ghosts, throwing a player in the near future. This time we were given the opportunity to run through the lands of post-apocalyptic USA, destroyed by orbital explosions, visit colorful tropical seas and visit space. Everything is pretty grandiose, but after 2-3 hours the exciting entourage completely disappears, because tasks quietly slide to boring exchanges, lengthy dialogues and annoying scripts. The plot in "Ghosts" is present, but it exists only for one purpose - in order to logically move from one attraction to another. In general, with the passage of each new mission, the game becomes increasingly dull. Nevertheless, the chic direction, variety of locations, tasks with the doggie Riley (of which, unfortunately, only 2) are stretching the campaign Call of Duty: Ghosts.

Overview of the cooperative

In the series Call of Duty granted aliens with the regime of "Survival". As you know, Treyarch has its own zombie chip, because of what Infinity Ward did not want to lag behind, creating a fresh cooperative mode. Its essence is quite simple: they reached one point => repulsed the attack => ran to another => repeated. The location is modeled competently, and the elements of tactics are even greater than in the same zombies. In general, everything is fun. Unfortunately, at the start players were given only 1 card (+4 available with downloadable content), which is very unfortunate. But the special operations were not delivered, which is rather strange. Infinity Ward they so skillfully created in the previous parts of MW, which is completely incomprehensible their absence in "Ghosts".

Multiplayer Overview

As for the multiplayer, then, unlike the previous parts, he progressed. All prestige has sunk into oblivion, and to replace them came fighters with their classes and level. Plus, the developers have added customization, a special place in which takes the presence of female characters. The creation of the class returned to a more classical form. In Ghosts, as before, there is a separate unchanged place for basic and additional weapons, grenades and modules. For perks, there are 8 slots with 35 different skills. The cards slightly increased in size (as for the CoD series), among which there was a place for interactive locations. Something similar we have already seen in Black Ops 2. Finish our review with a fly in the tar of the PC version of the game. The fact is that to Call of Duty: Ghost system requirements are so high that even on top machines there are all sorts of bugs and friezes. Of course, no questions would arise if the game was pleased with incredibly beautiful graphics, realistic physics and great soundtrack, but the engine remained the same, and the picture did not go too far from Modern Warfare 2 of 2009 release. It's very frustrating. Reviewing all of the above: Call of Duty: Ghosts deserves only 6/10.

Problems and ways to correct them

PC users are often harassed by various kinds of errors, many of which arise due to terrible optimization. Above we already talked about the fact that Call of Duty: Ghost system requirements on the PC are extremely overstated. In principle, there are many ways to help debug "Ghosts" to shine. Let's start by considering the errors.

  1. Knocks out the error "Your system memory (RAM) does not meet minmum specification". The game requires 6 GB of RAM, and therefore the purchase of additional slots of RAM will correct this problem. In principle, to Call of Duty: Ghost system requirements are pretty high, because of what will have to do an upgrade of the system. If you do not want to shell out to purchase "RAM", then use RAMfix.
  2. There are hangs and bugs everywhere . This problem is eliminated by traditional methods: reinstalling drivers for the video card, sound card, updating Microsoft Visual C ++, DirectX, updating the game to the latest patch or by completely reinstalling it.
  3. Problems with shadows . Typically, the problem occurs on some video cards that are poorly adapted for the game. The solution to the problem may be to update the drivers or turn off the shadows in the graphics settings.
  4. Sound is lost . Reinstall the DirectX libraries and the sound card driver.

Call of Duty: Ghost - system requirements (PC)

As you already understood, the game is very demanding on the hardware. Why? The most suitable explanation is the laziness of developers in the work on optimization. We do not find other options: the graphics are at an extremely low level, all levels are linear, the animation is not done in the best way. But let's move on, actually, to the description of what the Call of Duty: Ghost system requirements. Minimal:

  • OS: Windows 7/8 (64-bit);
  • CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E8200 2.66 Ghz or equivalent from AMD;
  • GPU: GeForce GTS 450 / Radeon HD 5870;
  • RAM: 6 Gb;
  • Hard disk space: 40 Gb.

Are they surprised? With such a PC it is quite comfortable to play in Battlefield 4 or Crysis 3, where the graphics level is an order of magnitude higher. However, in Ghosts you will often see flickering textures, friezes or suspensions. So it goes. What are the Call of Duty: Ghost system requirements for the most optimal game?

  • OS: Windows 7/8 (64-bit);
  • CPU: Intel Core i5 3.6Ghz or analog from AMD;
  • GPU: GeForce GTX 760;
  • RAM: 8 Gb;
  • Hard disk space: 40 Gb.

Think yourself: is it worth it to upgrade your PC for such a game? In Call of Duty: Ghost, the system requirements on the PC are higher than in Battlefield 4, which is already talking about something. If you are an avid fan of the series, then merry postrelushki you are provided, and therefore the update of the system is strictly recommended. Especially it will be needed for future non-gene projects.

Additions

What is Call of Duty without a pack of supplements? Of course, the developers have long maintained the game content, so that gamers do not get bored on the same cards. In total, 4 DLCs were released: Invasion, Devastation, Onslaught and Nemesis.

The debut was the launch of the Onslaught supplement, released on January 28, 2013. The developers were able to please the players with 5 new maps (4 for multiplayer battles and 1 for the cooperative), as well as new weapons. Among the multi-user arenas (Fog, BayView, Containment, Ignition), the latter is most notable, being a remake of the famous Scrapyard from Modern Warfare 2.

The second DLC was Devastation, released on May 8, 2014. Gamers were again pleased with 4 cards for the collective game (Ruins, Behemoth, Collision, Unearthed), the last of which became a remake of the Dome card from MW3. Did not forget Infinity Ward and the co-op, for which they created a new map Episode 2: Mayday.

The third was Invasion, which became available for download on July 3, 2014. By tradition, the DLC included 4 multiplayer maps (Departed, Pharaoh, Mutiny, Favela), the last of which was a remake of all the beloved arena of MW2. The co-op was supplemented with the Awakening card.

The latest downloadable content for Call of Duty: Ghosts was the addition of Nemesis. We think we will not surprise anyone by saying that it included 4 online maps (Goldrush, Subzero, Dynasty, Showtime). Of course, the latter did not become an independent arena, based on the Shipment card from the first part of the MW. For co-op, Extinction-Exodus was developed.

Finally

Call of Duty: Ghosts has remained the standard for the series by the militant, devoid of any innovations. The long-established formula is still working, which allows Activision to make millions of sales revenues. Nevertheless, Infinity Ward released a good game (or rather, worked), that is, the fans will be satisfied. If you have not played enough in the previous parts of the series, or prefer a more large-scale battles (like Battlefield), then this part can safely skip. To Call of Duty: Ghost system requirements (PC) are extremely overstated, there are bunches of bugs, "cranberry" story, the same type of gameplay and outdated graphics. In general, the last choice is always yours.
