Dry plaster in our time has acquired a massive character and for good reason. Plastering in the usual way for a very long time and not everyone can master this skill, but to attach to the wall a sheet of drywall can each and the wall alignment becomes the usual stage for self-repair of the apartment.

The basis for gypsum plasterboard is the same wall or special frame of metal profiles. Wall plasterboard structures on the frame can be built not only for the purpose of leveling the walls, but also for decorating the interior with niches, shelves and other decorative elements.

Installation of drywall directly on the wall is carried out on the prepared surface, if it is old plaster, then it must be firmly held on the wall, the brick surface can simply be cleaned of dust and greasy substances. The plasterboard sheet is applied by platens with a mounting gypsum mortar, so there are voids between the wall and gypsum board, which makes the best thermal insulation. Drywall with an adhesive solution is lifted and pressed against the wall. The sheets are leveled with a soft hammer, the joints are sealed with gypsum fillers and reinforcing serpens.

The basic rules for installing dry plaster are: plasterboard sheets are installed vertically, the height of the dry plaster without the frame should not exceed the height of the drywall sheet (up to 3 m). When installing the sheet, it is necessary to leave gaps of about 5 mm along the entire perimeter of the GCR, the joints should be closed after the gypsum-based mounting glue dries . For dry plaster without a frame, it is optimal to use only a moisture resistant gypsum board that will not be soaked from the abundant application of the gypsum mortar.

Gypsum plasterboard structures on frame-base are mounted to the wall with dowels, gypsum board is mounted on the frame with the help of special self-tapping screws.
