For many years, "Diazolin" saves people from various allergic manifestations. Take it with hives, allergic rhinitis and even with severe bronchial asthma. What is the secret of the Diazolin tablets?

"Diazolin" is an antihistamine drug that exerts its influence through the blocking of H1-histamine receptors. The common international name for this medication is Mebhydrolyn. The main effects of "Diazolin" are anti-edematous and anti-allergic, so it is used to eliminate allergic reactions (reactive, atopic, immediate reactions), and also swelling (most often mucous membranes).

The drug "Diazolin" is available in the form of tablets and tablets. They should be taken orally, without chewing, preferably during or after a meal.

Due to the connection of "Diazolin" with tissue H1-receptors, the effect on which produces histamine, the effect of the latter, strangely enough, is leveled ("Diazolin" does not affect H2-receptors). This drug does not reduce the amount of histamine in the human blood, but simply interferes with its interactions with receptors that are located in the smooth muscle cells of the bronchi, intestines, blood vessels, uterus.

Areas of application "Diazolin"

"Diazolin" instructions for use determines how the drug to eliminate the excessive effects of histamine in the first type of allergic reactions. It removes swelling on the mucous membranes that occur in allergic rhinitis (for example, when pollen allergens are specific flowering plants), insect bites or conjunctivitis due to the fact that the tone of all blood vessels rises and their permeability decreases. Accordingly, at the same time, it contributes to a slight increase in blood pressure, which must be taken into account in the appointment.

"Diazolin" instruction is called a medicine that relaxes the smooth muscle cells in the airways. But still it is not used for the treatment of anaphylactic shock, because there are many more effective in this state of antihistamines.

The special feature of "Diazolin" is a mild effect and surprising absence of dangerous side effects, even pronounced soothing. It is prescribed for various allergic diseases :

- Quincke's edema, hives;

- itching dermatoses (neurodermatitis, eczema);

- an allergic rhinitis;

- allergic conjunctivitis ;

- bronchial asthma (with combined therapy);

- skin reactions to insect bites;

- allergic reactions to food, medication, etc.

"Diazolin" instruction recommends taking with great care during pregnancy. This despite the fact that it is considered to be relatively safe, has long been applied and obvious negative, negative effects on the fetus have not been noted.

With care, you need to take "Diazolinum" in case of heart rhythm disturbance, kidney and liver diseases, as well as people who are engaged in potentially dangerous activities that require sharp psychomotor reactions and increased attention.

Contraindications

"Diazolin" instructions for use describes a relatively safe drug, but still its administration has such contraindications:

- an increase in the prostate gland;

- glaucoma;

- Peptic ulcer disease of the duodenum and stomach;

- inflammatory diseases of the gastrointestinal tract in the stage of exacerbation;

- hypersensitivity to "Diazolinum";

- age up to 2 years.

Possible side effects:

- dizziness, slowing of reactions, increased fatigue, drowsiness;

- dry mouth, pain in the epigastric region, heartburn, nausea;

- disturbances of urination, reduction of leucocytes-granulocytes, allergic reactions.
