Shoots are greenish-olive or brown with shades of red, fluffy shoots ending in silver color. The lower branches are often inclined to the ground. After cutting, the canopy can take the form of a shrub.

Kidneys, leaves and flowers

Kidneys are red-yellow, sharp, silky (length - up to 6 mm). They seem to be pressed to an escape. Leaves with a pointed apex, finely meshed, their edges not wrapped down (length - from five to fifteen centimeters, width - to three), whitish, with silvery hairs from below, and from above - dark green. In autumn the leaves do not fall for a long time and acquire a yellow-bronze color.

Flowers are collected in cylindrical earrings (length - up to five cm). The willow is blooming in April or May. The process occurs simultaneously with the opening of the leaves of the tree. Seeds of the willow ripen by June.

Application and Benefits

  1. Wood cane can be used as an ornamental material. Earlier from it troughs, utensils, shuttles for a yarn have been made. From the fibers of the bark of the windmills ropes and rope were made. The bars were used to construct hedges in the villages, rarely - as a building material.
