Deception is the worst of human inventions

"If you managed to deceive someone, it does not mean that you are smarter, it means that you were trusted more than you deserve." Cheating ... Perhaps, it is better not to say. In pursuit of success and temporary pleasures, many do not hesitate to resort to it, moreover, some are absolutely sure that it is impossible to live without lies today. But is it really so? Is deception a harmless trick or a serious misconduct?

Is the lie harmless?

It is noteworthy that most people are completely sure that they do not want to be deceived, but if necessary, they deceive others, not counting it as something reprehensible. For them, deception is the ability to get what you want with the least expense. By resorting to this, if I may say so, cunning, the last thing a person thinks about is the feelings and emotions of others. Lying - means without hesitation to put your interests and goals first, without thinking how it will affect the people around you. What does deception mean for close people? This is certainly a low and selfish inclination, because family and friends are people who need to be trusted unconditionally. Such a conscious treacherous act can destroy even the strongest kindred ties. Lying, of course, is different: very minor or more serious. Anyway, the meaning of the word "deception" is nothing else but a conscious action that misleads someone, conceals the true or truthful state of things.

Signs that the other person is lying

Scientists often wondered whether a person really needs to lie and how to recognize already existing false information? Surprisingly, to this day there is absolutely no exact and no-win tactic for recognizing lies. However, science nevertheless became aware of some factors that indicate that the object resorts to dishonesty. These are just a few of the long list of suggested options:

  • "A glancing look." It is noteworthy that our pupils actively react to various emotions. Depending on the state of health and the situation, they can either narrow or expand. It is considered that in moments of emotional arousal (when a person is nervous or experiencing), the pupils are significantly enlarged, which may indicate a possible concealment of the truth.
  • The way the object holds, namely his posture. By the way a person manages his body, one can also recognize certain signs of a lie. Nervous twitching of the shoulders, lack of synchronism in the movements and contradictory actions indicate that, most likely, you are a liar. To this small list also it is possible to carry nervous smoking of several cigarettes in a row, sorting out small items and frequent wiping of glasses, if any.

  • Gestures and facial expressions. If there is a desire to recognize lies, it is important to pay special attention to these points. Many books on psychology put forward a theory that when a person lies, he often covers his mouth with his hand, as if involuntarily "forbidding" himself to speak. Itching in the muscles of the neck and face, nervous scratching of the nose are also signs of possible distortion of information. This is inextricably linked to how the human brain works. It is divided into the left and right hemispheres, the second of which is responsible for emotions, imagination and feelings. In connection with this, it is difficult for people to control that part of the person who is connected with this body.

There are still exceptions

Of course, this interesting technique was tested in practice and is effective, but do not forget about the individual characteristics that every person has. These or other gestures may not indicate a concealment of the truth, but simply a usual manner of behavior. It is important to mention that these features alone can rarely make up a true picture of what is happening, so it is worthwhile to assess the entire situation objectively.

Just a bright wrapper

Cheating is ... Definition of the word, concept, meaning, we tried to explain, but this is more than a dry scientific term. This is a factor that directly determines the well-being of everyone. Lying is perhaps the shortest, but not the most reliable way to success. Employers highly value honest and conscientious workers, and, as practice shows, deception is effective only for a short period of time. Then follows his disclosure and, after that, constant troubles: dismissal, the collapse of his personal life, friendship and other important components of everyday life.

Apparently, deception is a harmless weakness. He is quite capable of destroying life. In contrast , honesty strengthens the trust of others and builds a good reputation.

Deception. Aphorisms and quotations

  • "Truth is the first chapter in the book of wisdom."
  • "Lies are usually presented in pretty attractive packaging."
  • "A liar ultimately deceives himself."
  • "There is a lie hidden in the talkativeness."
  • "People are more likely to believe strangers, they've never cheated on them."
  • "It's better to be simple and honest than smart and deceitful."
  • "No one lies when he prays."

Lie is an unreliable satellite

No matter how attractive the external envelope of lies seemed, nothing will ultimately hide its inner rot. This is the most erroneous of all the methods invented by people to achieve the desired. And the so-called lie for good has rather blurred boundaries. If you resort to it, do not forget about the inevitable consequences. The truth has a good property - to emerge at the most interesting moment.

Do not be mistaken. Deceiving others - you deceive yourself even more.
