Children Online

"The Internet and that from it happens bad" - on this theme, similar, never will stop to speak physicians. Ten years ago, ophthalmologists shouted into the voice how the computer screen harms the eyes. Invented a thin, liquid crystal - immediately remembered the threat of epilepsy and mental disorders, not to mention autism. But, perhaps, the most common case of any psychologist and the worst nightmare of any parent is an Internet-choked child, who forgot that there is a street outside the window, and it's fun outside.
What here can be "fun", teenagers scream. It's fun to sit on VKontakte. On Youtube, watching videos with kittens is fun. Conquer the fictional worlds with a bazooka at the ready - it's fun!
And who will conquer our real world?
Since the Internet appeared in the masses, life has become better. It has become more mobile, there are no more temporary and territorial breaks between cities and countries, you can get any information in a few seconds and transfer it to others, let alone the huge opportunities that have appeared for modern journalism. Everyone knows this. But notice that all of the above applies to the adult generation and only the very corner touches the children. Whatever the world's Internet developers are trying to innovate - games, children's sites, parental control and training programs - the Internet remains an adult toy. The thing is that mature people in most of them are able to allocate their time and distinguish important from unimportant, most importantly from the non-main. They can control their "want" and remember the word "must" in time; It comes with experience. Children do not yet have such experience, but there is a whole virtual world full of all kinds of things, and everything should be seen, everywhere to visit, go to all the links! "He will be terribly upset if anything in the world suddenly happens without him." A sort of baby syndrome that knows the world. The world behind the window already knew the baby: there are the same classmates, the same lessons, the same routes. But soon in the apartment there is a "tin can", as her parents affectionately call it. Of course, she appears only for study. For everything in the classroom is printed out, and you - in the old-fashioned way, by hand! Sucks.
And after a while it turns out that printing a report is a matter of a couple of minutes, and the rest of the time the child spends where he does not want to see it. God forbid that sites for adults are disabled, but modern social networks are not much different from them and are filled with approximately the same content. Parents grab at the head, but late - the child has already entered into the taste, it can not be pulled out. On the street the graphics are not very good and the engine does not work well, but on the Internet - you are not an inexperienced schoolboy, but a guru whose opinion is always noticed and listened! With the computer, children grow up faster, but - that's paradox - they remain children forever. Because they can not acquire the experience that helps to distinguish the main from the non-main, important from the unimportant ...
If a person is given an object in his hands, with which he obviously can not cope, then the person changes significantly, adapts to the subject. But this does not mean that he learns to cope - on the contrary, he is only more confused in his ideas. And it does not bring any special benefits in the family or in society. Semi-human, half dead - a zombie. The modern generation, which was born in the late nineties, already has little idea what is "good" and what is "bad." For them, all one thing is "cool." Violent videos with beatings, stupid quotes of whose authorship and suicide history, in general, everything that exists in social networks - it's cool. Yes, the same VKontakte exists for the exchange of photos and messages, for posting on its pages official sites of rock groups and travel agencies, but along with all this wealth children get a shock dose of "ozverina", and parents - problems with an unbalanced teenager. The eternal Russian question "what to do?" Is unacceptable here. The Internet has firmly entered our lives, and until they release a law restricting information unsuitable for children ... stop-stop-stop, we have freedom of speech! Internet - an independent platform! And social networks - for students and former classmates! We are not to blame for the fact that they let the kids go where they do not get, that's what lawmakers will say.
Some educators, sometimes even happy that their child is sitting on the Internet - but does not disappear in the street at night, does not drink or smoke. But they overlook the fact that the child is deprived: a) fresh air; B) real, real friends; C) the same experience that only city streets can bring. Ability to be strong, dexterous, quirky, to think quickly, to respond wittily, not to be lost in a dangerous situation, to be a professional and to protect yourself - this is not found on the Internet. Therefore - parents! Be careful. Dispense the computer dosing. A child, when it understands that it has lost, sitting around the clock for a "jar", will be grateful to you. It's so easy to discover something interesting in the surrounding world and conquer it, it would be just a desire ...
