A group of Tehranis is attacking the embassy. 37 members of the mission, including Griboyedov, are killed. The mutilated body of Alexander Sergeevich was identified by a shot through his arm.

July 17, 1829

The remains of the writer, transported to Russia, were buried in the monastery of St. Davyd in Tiflis.

A. Griboyedov always showed an interest in writing. He started writing while studying at the boarding school and did not leave this class until the end of his life. However, Alexander Sergeevich entered the Russian literature as the author of one comedy - "Woe from Wit".
