You can buy a box made of any material, made in the most unusual design. But what could be better than self-made gizmos for storing important little things and just memorable knickknacks? If you put a little imagination and work, a box made of cardboard, made by yourself, will please you for many years. The cost of materials is minimal, but what is the result!
Making workpiece
Creating a casket is a creative process. You can choose any form: from banal rectangles to hearts and intricate shapes with a lot of angles. Decide on the size and draw the bottom. If you are afraid of making a mistake in the calculations or cardboard you have little, you can first make a paper template. The base must be cut twice - the second part will be the cover of the craft. The second stage is a bit more complicated - we will design the walls. For any shape, they will be rectangles, but you should not forget about the allowance for gluing to the substrate. If you do not already know how to make a box of cardboard, do not be afraid, everything is simple enough. For products with straight angles, it is sufficient to bend a strip of wall not more than 1 cm wide. If you make a box with a smooth contour, the bent edge should be cut with equal teeth for its gluing by bending. By the same technology it is possible to make a lap for the lid. When all the elements are cut, glue everything with a universal adhesive on a water basis and leave until completely dry.

At us the unprepossessing preparation has turned out, but our purpose is an original decorative subject. It's time to do jewelry. Paint the box to your liking or tighten it with a cloth. Other design options are also possible: you can glue pieces of mosaic or make an application from individual pieces of fabric, wrapping paper or other materials. It looks good foil or corrugated cardboard. A box made of cardboard, made by hand, can be completely pasted with beads, shells or embroidered. If you choose the latter option, you will have to embroider the pattern separately on the canvas, and you just need to paste the finished creation. Do not forget to paint or decorate the casket and inside. As additional decorations small figures (you can take from children's "kinder-surprise"), artificial flowers or rhinestones are suitable.

According to the technology described above, you can decorate ready-made boxes or restore boxes that have become unusable. The cover does not have to be removable, you can make it fold-down. To do this, we fix one straight side without a border at the edge of the wall, and to the opposite end we fasten the eyelet so that it is easier to open and close. Homemade boxes from cardboard can be decorated in any accessible way. Original products look, designed in the technique of "decoupage" - a multi-layer application of paper napkins. Some wizards manage to make an original mirror mosaic from old disks, cut into small pieces. Whatever your box made of cardboard, made with your own hands, you can always improve and fill it. It is enough to make a holder for the rings or one big pad.
