Biological clock - can they be set up and managed

A person is subject to many things, however, he can not control his biological clock. Although such management would significantly simplify and even to some extent solve many problems arising at work. For example, work that must be in different shifts, adapting to other time zones after air travel.

This direction of science has not been sufficiently studied by scientists, but at the University of Douglas, three scientists managed to find ways to influence the course of biological clocks. This was done by Mark Kuest, Diane Boyvin and Nicholas Chermakyan.

All human actions throughout the day are due to the circadian system. It consists of a central clock, the location of which is in the brain, as well as many other clocks that are located throughout the body.

The experiment involved 16 people, he passed in a specially equipped place in complete isolation, to obtain accurate results. So, it was possible to establish that in leukocytes a second kind of clock was laid, and it can be influenced by the use of glucocorticoid drugs.

Each person has an internal biological clock and is so arranged by nature that a person is able to stay awake without disturbing them only during the day. Night residents also put their health at considerable risk and risk becoming owners of various health problems. So you should expect the emergence or worsening of cardiovascular diseases, metabolic disorders and the emergence of even cancer.

As you know, shift workers can be at night, and this is largely a threat to the body. According to scientists who conducted the research, circadian clocks, prone to desynchronization, contribute to worsening of sleep and heart function, as well as to a decrease in productivity. The proposed methods of treatment of the problem are not able to correct the problem, and to some extent it can even aggravate it.

Until now, scientists have not fully studied the biological clock of man, which is rebuilt to wake the whole body during night shifts. Presumably everything comes from the central clock, which is located in the brain, it is from here that signals are sent to the rest of the human body. The use of glucocorticoids allows you to move incoming signals through the body.

While scientists recommend the use of night shifts for glucocorticoid drugs in order to change the biological clock. However, long-term admission remains in the risk zone, but scientists continue to investigate the problem and possibly a method will soon be found that allows to modify and adjust both peripheral and central biological clocks.
