Calcinates in the mammary gland: classification and symptoms
Radiologic examination sometimes reveals calcinants in the mammary gland. This symptom occurs in different conditions, as well as in the development of malignant tumors. Calcinates can be easily seen with mammography. After studying their shape, size, number and location of localization, additional breast examinations are prescribed, right up to the biopsy. Large calcification in the mammary gland rarely predict cancer, but the accumulation of small cells is associated with non-tumor processes and the initial stage of cancer.
1. Lobular: sclerosing adenosis, fibrocystic mastopathy, adenosis cyst. With these changes on the roentgenogram, calcints look in the form of a "cup", in the lateral projection - as a crescent moon. This is a benign process.
2. Protoss: 1) dense fragments in the form of a dotted line or vermicular lines. If the contours are not clear, then differentiation is carried out from the intraserval non-invasive cancer; 2) small pointlike types of "snake skin". Heterogeneous are characteristic for intra-cellular non-invasive breast cancer.
Calcinates in the mammary gland are divided into groups (volume less than 20 mm), linear (form the line), segmental (localized within the proportion of the lobe), regional (localized within one fraction), diffuse (random distribution throughout the gland tissue).
Pregnancy is the most responsible and the most important period in the life of every woman. A timely examination of the functions of the placenta and fetus makes it possible to exclude various pathologies. Calcinates in the placenta - a sign of early maturation or aging of the body. In the third trimester, with a planned ultrasound examination, the doctor can diagnose calcifications, spasms of small vessels in some areas of the placenta, then these areas of tissue are necrotic. When they are healing, calcium salts are deposited in the tissues. Such calcifications are represented by multiple small and large inclusions in the parenchyma, with the organ acquiring a lobule structure. The presence of calcification in the placenta is not a pathological process, it is impossible to exclude them from the body.
