"Boar" - a gun, developed relatively recently

The self-loading rifle "Vepr-12 Molot" is a multipurpose carbine of domestic production. It is popular not only in our country, but also abroad. "Boar" is a rifle that is actively used not only by amateurs of commercial or amateur hunting, but also in shooting galleries to improve the skill of practical shooting. Characteristics

"Vepr" is a rifle created on the basis of a Kalashnikov light machine gun. It is a relatively new development of the same-name plant "Molot", located in the Vyatskiye Polyany. This weapon was created by the manufacturers as a direct competitor for hunting hunting carbines from the "Saiga" series, which are very popular in our country.

The main purpose of the "Boar" is sports, more precisely, practical shooting, but it has become popular in the relevant structures dealing with the protection of houses and other security activities.

In its design, introduced some additional elements that made handling this carabiner as convenient as possible. This is a two-way fuse with a gate delay, a magazine shaft, etc. In recent years, the rifles from the "Vepr-12" series are produced simultaneously by the manufacturer in three versions. Their difference lies in the length of the trunk. In the basic version, it is the shortest, whereas in the subsequent models it is longer.

These multi-purpose smooth-bore self-loading carbines are designed for hunting and sporting events. "Vepr" - a gun, the photo of which is often confused with other self-loading analogues such as "Tiger", is produced mainly for cartridges with a caliber of 12x76. It has a sufficiently high degree of reliability and reliability when operating under different, even extreme operating conditions. However, from similar designs, this self-loading carbine is characterized by the presence of a removable flame arrester, which is mounted on the muzzle barrel, as well as the presence of a locking mechanism. This innovation, completely excluding the possibility of carrying out firing with a folded butt.

Design

"Vepr" is a rifle in which automatic reloading occurs, as in the "Saiga" or "Tigra", due to the use of powder gas energy diverted from the stem channel into the gas chamber, and also by the return springs. Locking the channel in the barrel rotates the bolt around its own axis to two warheads with the longitudinal movement of the gate frame.

The mechanism of work

With the help of the trigger mechanism made on the hammer-type, the "Vepr" carbines are provided with the production of single shots and their firing. In this case, this flag-type part is made two-way with two levers on the right side of the receiver, and one - already on the left. To facilitate and speed of the process of attaching the cartridge store to the carabiner itself, a receiver is provided on it. To combat corrosion and improve durability, the channel with the barrel chamber, as well as the stem of the shutter frame with the gas chamber are chrome plated.

At the same time, open devices equipped with Vepr consist of a sighting bar having a mechanism for lateral corrections, as well as a flies adjustable in two directions, which is installed in the base. Innovations

The shutter group and the receiver of this carbine were redesigned by the manufacturer, taking into account the use of hunting cartridges in it. At the same time, the self-timer was removed from the shock-trigger mechanism, and the gas-venting mechanism became self-regulating and allows shooting both with cartridges at a sleeve of 70 mm and with 76 mm without additional adjustments. "Vepr" is a rifle, the aiming devices of which, by the type of the Kalashnikov assault rifle, are made entirely adjustable and with a flies arranged above the gas chamber. The lid on the receiver is not separated, but simply reclines upwards and forwards, again similar to the AKS. In addition, it additionally provides a guide for the type of Picatinny rail for the possibility of quick and convenient installation of a variety of additional sights that are attached to the corresponding brackets.

The gun is supplied with cartridges from single-row plastic stores with a capacity of eight charges. The rifle "Vepr" is made of metal, it is made of skeleton structure with folding sideways. Its butt outside to increase the comfort of shooting in frosty or hot weather is covered with plastic. For the basic version, which has a truncated barrel and is produced mainly for the Russian market, a special safety mechanism has been introduced in accordance with the "Weapons Law" of the Russian Federation, which, as already said, blocks shooting with a folded butt.
