Hunting carbine - for medium and large animals

Hunting carbine as a self-loading weapon in our country is produced since 1961 year. It was from this time that the Izhmash association designed and developed the famous "Bear" using Dragunov's sniper rifle scheme .

History of creation

The first hunting carbine had a mass with an unloaded magazine about three and a half kilograms, the total length is one hundred and ten centimeters with a trunk size of five hundred millimeters and a magazine capacity of three cartridges.

It was produced in a limited series, mainly targeting hunter-fishers, as well as the party elite. However, by the mid-seventies, the production of the "Bear" was discontinued.

Varieties

Again self-loading carbines hunting with a cartridge 9x53 began to appear already from the end of the nineties of the last century. At the same Izhmash unit, already on the conversion began to produce rifled self-loading weapons from the Saiga family, made on the basis of ultra-reliable Kalashnikov assault rifles.

In the process of their creation, it was possible to successfully solve the difficult problem for those times: "fit" a sufficiently powerful cartridge into the design scheme. A hunting carbine "Saiga", which has eight modifications, has increased reliability and high accuracy even in the most difficult operating conditions. It is used not only to hunt a relatively large beast, but also escort or security units. Its folding butt is made of high-strength polyamide with glass fiber reinforcement. A characteristic feature of some models is the possibility of a shot with the folded butt. The barrel channel with the chamber, which is equipped with this hunting carbine, is chrome plated. On the left side of the receiver there is a base for fixing the optics.

Created on the basis of SVD hunting rifle "Tiger" is distinguished by the increased accuracy of fire. Its modifications are made for cartridges 7,62x54R, 7,62х51 and 9,3х64. Automatic reloading in the "Tigers" occurs due to the powder energy of the gases leaving the stem channel into the gas chamber, and also due to the return springs. Locking is performed by turning the bolt around the axis. The hunting rifle "Tiger" has wooden trunks and a butt, supplemented with a rubber nape. Its open sight is a flies, adjustable in two planes, and a bar for firing range up to three hundred meters.

Design Features

All hunting carbines, the reviews of which explain their unusual popularity, consist of a barrel with a box, a shutter frame with a gas rod, a bolt, a return and trigger mechanism, a fuse, a cover, a gas tube, sighting devices, butt, fore and a store. Their automation works by the principle of the removal of powder gases from the stem channel. A large force of pressure requires an increase in the area of the stops. For this purpose, the shutter is designed with a closed cup and an updated ejector. In this spring-loaded drummer protects from the inertial incision of the capsule.

The trunk canal, which is equipped with a hunting rifle, has, as a rule, six rifling cutlets of rectangular shape with a step of two hundred and forty millimeters. In the mandatory set of delivery there is a ramrod, accessories in the case and a lubricator, while on special orders it can be equipped with optics and bracket, as well as a belt and a cover.
