Bibirevo (the metro). Bibirevo metro station

On the question of what Bibirevo is, "Metro and residential area of the capital," - will answer the indigenous residents of the main city of our country. And, of course, they will be right. This is the name of the well-known transport interchange and the whole massif, inhabited not by one thousand people.

However, are not these knowledge too superficial? After all, you will agree, "Bibirevo" on the subway map is noticeable almost immediately, and this automatically means the fact that it is impossible to overestimate the importance and necessity of such a node.

In this article we will talk about this station of the Moscow Metro. Readers will learn in more detail not only about the m. "Bibirevo", but also about its history, its characteristics and the design of an underground stop. Do not forget that the ground infrastructure available in this place also deserves a share of attention.

Section 1. General description of the object

For the first time the metro station "Bibirevo" was opened before the New Year, December 31, in 1992. Today it is the 149th stop of the whole Moscow metro and is located between the stations "Altufevo" and "Otradnoe".

After such a significant historic event as the disintegration of the entire USSR, this is perhaps the first transport hub that has been built and is still in operation. The rest had to be closed either because of their accidents, or because of unprofitability.

In principle, it immediately becomes clear that "Bibirevo" is a metro, which is named in honor of the nearby area of the same name.

Previously, just a few years ago, it was the last stop. Such m. "Bibirevo" was built initially, but after a while the line was extended. Technically, it was not so difficult to do it: just beyond its premises there was a so-called congress or a dead end, along which the cars were turned back. Of course, it had to be removed.

Many different stations, both deep and very shallow, have Moscow. Metro Bibirevo was laid at a shallow depth, just below ten meters.

Section 2. History of the station itself and its name

As already reported above, this public transport stop was opened as a result of extreme necessity: the residential area was gradually increasing in size, which means that its residents began to badly need an carefully thought-out transport interchange. And later the city administration was forced to extend the existing line to the north.

The congress to turn the cars was removed already two years after its appearance, which in principle can serve as an indicator of the speed of the increase in the Russian capital.

We can also say with certainty that Bibirevo is a metro, the name of which does not exactly correspond to the location of the station itself. If you think logically, then from a geographical point of view, this stop and Altufevo would have to be changed.

Section 3. Design Features

At the entrance to the subway in the eyes immediately "rush" beautiful columns that rest on the elegant monolithic ceilings. Very beautiful and quite original building.

In general, we can say with certainty that Bibirevo is a metro almost entirely made of white marble. True, in part, at the very bottom and a little above, it was faced with a special kind - Ufa.

The floor is gray, and in the center you can see the squares of red granite.

Many visitors note that the interior elements are very successfully combined, and the colors are incredibly in harmony with each other.

But that's not all. When you are at the station, go a little deeper. There is another small attraction: in the turnstile there are various compositions of such famous artists as AM Ladur and DA Ladur.

Section 4. Specifications

Perhaps, from a technical point of view, "Bibirevo" is not very different originality. Although the architects are not particularly familiar bookmark the station. The fact is that it is at a depth of only ten meters.

By the way, it should be noted that glass was not involved in the design of the ground vestibules.

Most of the day, the stop is quite deserted. This is due to its location in the so-called residential area of the city. When there are passengers here? It is logical to assume that only in the morning and in the evening.

At the usual time, when locals do not go to work or do not return home, the cars are mostly half empty.

It's nice to note that the service personnel are trying their best to make life easier for their passengers: beautifully illuminated signs will help to get to the train without any problems and difficulties, and each car is carefully numbered.

Section 5. Vestibules and Transplants

In total there are two vestibules at the station, which go out for convenience to different streets.

The southern exit can bring travelers to such streets as Bibirevskaya, Prishvina and Pleshcheeva. It is also connected with an escalator and a platform.

But through the ground vestibule you can get to the station itself. It is made in dark colors, the brown roof rests on small cylindrical columns, decorated in black tones.

Section 6. Landmarks on the surface

Russia ... Moscow ... Metro Bibirevo ... Do you know what unites these three places together? Abundance of cultural monuments!

As for the sights of this part of the city, there are three of them:

  • Cinema "Hour of Cinema". In total this institution has four halls, two of which are equipped with 3D-technologies. A single session can be enjoyed by 540 people. Visitors especially praise comfortable chairs that can take the shape of the body, as well as new equipment that delivers incredible viewing pleasure. All the films are shown on a huge screen.
  • Cinema "Mars". Alas, but for today the institution is closed. Honestly, it did not last long. In a rather short time after the grand opening it had to be closed due to unprofitability. Now the owners use the building for their own purposes, but there is an assumption that it will eventually be rebuilt into a large entertainment complex.
  • Historical Museum under the name "Fatherland". This exposition was built to store various items related to the history of the native land. All visitors can easily see each of them. Most often here come school-age children and students, who are usually called patriotic youth. The history of this museum is quite interesting. It all began, as it often happens, with the usual collectibles. The teacher of the local school No. 139 kept the exhibits in her office. But gradually the number of them grew, and the places simply ceased to be missed. It was then and it was decided to open a real museum, which later turned into a well-known local landmark.

Section 7. Ground Infrastructure

Not far from the station you can find a lot of different kinds of establishments, inherent, as a rule, the sleeping area of a large city.

Within a radius of 800 meters from the station "Bibirevo" is a university. In the evenings, young people can easily relax in one of the nightclubs.

At the service of lovers of an active lifestyle are several sports clubs and gyms.

Housewives and pensioners consider Bibirevo an ideal place for living. There are a lot of shops, boutiques, and markets, including spontaneous ones. The shopping center, offering everything from food to furniture, works late and almost without days off.

Section 8. Useful information

Perhaps the most important thing that every traveler needs to know is the station hours. Here they are coordinated taking into account the wishes of local residents. Metro vestibules are opened quite early, at 5:35. However, one should pay attention to the fact that after one in the morning you will not be able to get here.

Now with regard to mobile operators. A good connection is supported only by three operators: MTS, Beeline and MegaFon. Make the necessary call or look into the Internet using a mobile phone can be practically without problems, in contrast, for example, from stations located inside the Garden Ring of the capital. All this is not so much due to the installed amplifying equipment, but because of the shallow laying of the station.

The territory, located near the metro station "Bibirevo", is famous for its splendid interchange for land transport. Buses to different parts of the micro district are sent almost around the clock.
