This device belongs to the category of combined. "Astra-621" is a security detector that combines two detection channels at once.

The first has a volumetric optoelectronic infrared sensor. Due to this function, Astra-621 is able to "detect" in the protected area any movement of the body radiating heat. Some unpretentious security systems generally only manage sensors of this type.

The second is a glass break detector. Citizens of the older generation probably remember security alarm sensors, pasted with epoxy compounds on the glass from inside the premises. The detector "Astra-621" does not have anything in common with such a primitive. Modern glass break sensors are installed indoors and "guard" all the windows in the room at once.

Principle of operation

How do systems that are in service with the Astra-621 operate?

A volumetric optoelectronic infrared sensor "illuminates" the room with built-in infrared LEDs and monitors the thermal background. Any warm-blooded living being, including a person, "glows" in an infrared background.

When a radiating object radiates to a protected object, there is a sharp drop in the IR background, which is picked up by the sensor. But if some clever thief comes up with the idea of entering the house, dressed in a suit that reflects IR rays, nothing will come of it. Even pretending to be cold-blooded, he, moving around the room, will block the infrared rays, which will again cause a change in the thermal background.

The principle of the glass breakage sensor is even simpler. Briefly, the "Astra-621" has a built-in microphone that reacts to the sound of the glazed window. Any event occurring in the earth's atmosphere generates sound vibrations with a certain set of frequencies, amplitudes and other characteristics. We, for example, unmistakably determine the voices of people we know, distinguish the signal of a mobile phone from a bell at the door.

The detector also filters the incoming vibrations to the microphone, so that the alarm only rises from the sound of the glass being broken, and certainly not from the sounds of a thunderstorm or a truck passing by the house.
