Actors of the film "Fool": Artem Bystrov, Natalia Surkova, Yuri Tsurilo, Boris Nevzorov

This film is considered one of the best works of the director Yu. Bykov, along with his paintings such as "Major" and "Live." He manages to shoot very convincing dramas. No wonder the film "Fool" in 2014 received a prize for the script and the diploma of the Guild of Film Critics and Film Critics at Kinotavr.

This picture is about how the world looks, in which everyone is indifferent to other people's troubles. And the one who wants to change something, will necessarily hear after it: "Well, a fool!"

How is the plot constructed? And who are the actors in the movie "Fool"?

Plot

All events occur during one night. Dmitry Nikitin - a private plumber - quietly dines with his family. Suddenly he is called to work: a sewage breakage in one of the city's hostels. He notices two huge cracks on the bearing walls of the building and understands that it gave a roll and would not stay for more than a day. Nikitin decides to immediately inform the mayor of the city of Galaganova, who is celebrating her jubilee at that time, at which all the main officials are present. Both the wife and her parents want to stop him, pointing to both senselessness and the danger of this venture. But the conscientious Nikitin can not give up on the lives of living people, albeit completely alien to him. And almost all the tenants of that hostel are drunkards or drug addicts. Yet Nikitin believes that as soon as the authorities learn about the problem, they will help people.

At an urgent meeting of the City Council, the fate of 800 residents of that hostel is being decided. If you declare an evacuation, then they must be moved somewhere, and, naturally, there are no options. First they start looking for the last one, who can be blamed for, but the stigma in the cannon at the top. Therefore Galaganova goes to extreme measures and orders to kill Fedotov and Matyugin, then to hang on them all the dogs and thereby save their skin. Next to them is Nikitin, but he is released with a threat to remove him if he urgently does not leave the city forever. He takes his wife and son, puts them in the car, and they try to escape. But on the way Nikitin sees that, despite the assurances of the mayor, no one evacuates people. He quarrels with his wife, insisting that she leave alone with her son, and he himself remains. He runs to the hostel to wake the tenants and take them out of the building. But the brutal crowd, instead of gratitude, stumbled with his feet. This scene ends the film Bykov "Fool".

The idea of the picture

The director challenges the viewer with a difficult task: to decide for himself what is more important - the well-being of his family or the life of 820 strangers. And these people are usually called the dregs of society. Among them are alcoholics, former prisoners, drug addicts. Is it worth it to risk your life for them? The contingent of grief-hostel is deliberately shown by the director from the worst side, so that no sympathy for them arises. Therefore, the more unjustified is the behavior of Nikitin, who is actually going to die for them. And then he dies from their own hands. But with his mouth the director voices the main message of his work: "We live like pigs, and we die like pigs, because we are no one to each other." This was his response to the desperate scream of his wife that he owed nothing to those people.

The main character Dmitry Nikitin

He was played by Artem Bystrov. Films with his participation were not as popular as this one. He perfectly suited for the image of a decent and conscientious plumber, who always tries to act humanely due to his upbringing. Dmitri is as truthful as his father. He has an honest and open face, he is slightly naive, because he believes that he can break the system. It seems that Nikitin has iron nerves, he reacts more or less calmly to what is happening even in critical situations, and therefore is able to reason. But until the end of his image is revealed in the final scenes. Even his steel endurance runs out during a quarrel with his wife, he drives her away, because she does not understand his honesty and compassion. Also, on the roof of the ill-fated building, when Dmitry realizes that he has warned all residents of the danger and is out of breath, he has tears of joy flowing from his eyes. This is the only time in the whole movie when the main character is happy. He fulfilled his moral duty, his conscience will not torment him.

Galaganova - mayor of the city

It was played by Natalia Surkova, best known for her lead role in The Master and Margarita. She has more than 40 films.

Costumes and make-up artists brought her appearance to the image of a typical official. Natalia Surkova, though older than her heroine on the passport, but in real life looks younger. And Galaganova was just 50. She has been holding the reins for more than 20 years. Nikitin arrives at the celebrations of the jubilee at the moment when they raise another toast for her health and sing praises about her concern for the city, they say, people even call her mother's eyes. The first impression she makes about herself as a person occupying such a position is not in vain: she knows how to manage, as well as sensible thinking. She is a powerful woman, commander's tone can besiege those who object. She orders to bring in the feelings of half-drunk officials and organizes a closed meeting right at the restaurant. From her monologue about where the money comes from the city budget, it is clear that she knows about the dark deeds of her companions, and she herself is involved in them. At first it seems that she is not indifferent to the fate of those people, but later it turns out that she is not afraid of the fact that the house will collapse, and that the heads will fly, and the guilty can do it. At best, she will be removed from office, and at worst - they will be imprisoned. At first Galaganova made an attempt to obtain temporary housing, but this was unsuccessful. Its skin is more expensive, therefore, under pressure, it gives a tacit consent to removing the two bosses, and then - all the ends into the water. The role of Galaganova is very emotional. Natalia Surkova perfectly managed to convey the firmness, charisma, and cynicism of her character.

Bogachev

Yuri Tsurilo played about 70 roles in his acting career, most of them negative. Appearance obliges, whether that ...

The film "Fool" was no exception. Yuri Tsurilo plays here an unscrupulous and hypocritical official Bogachev, walking on his head to achieve his goals. Here for him, human life is not worth a penny, and this applies not only to the residents of the hostel, but also their own associates, with whom he worked together for years. Those who just sat at the same table, he sends to death without any hesitation.

Actors of the film "Fool": Boris Nevzorov as Fedotov

With Bykov, they already worked together in the painting "Major", filmed a year earlier. He usually plays positive characters, his role is people in uniform, for example, valiant police officers.

But a completely different role was prepared for him by the film "Fool". Boris Nevzorov turned into a careless, cynical and corrupt chief. Even when Nikitin scientifically proves that the building has only a few hours to stand, he objects that subsidence in the fall is normal, and panic is unnecessary here. And about the tenants in the hostel, he says: "Are these people people? They are dregs: every second has a conviction, maybe they need to go to the next world." Only when he, Matyugin and Nikitin are being taken to the shooting, he shows humanity and intercedes for the guy, asking him to let go of the innocent plumber.

Father Dima

Alexander Korshunov usually gets supporting roles. Also here the actor plays the father of the protagonist. He is an honest hard worker, the same "fool" as his son. At work he works, he does not wipe his pants, he does not drag home anything that badly lies, like the rest. For his 60 years did not gain anything, not saved up. Someone bulbs in the entrance steals, and he screws, someone shop near the house breaks, and she and Dima repair it. Only he does not have friends, even his own wife does not consider him a man. But he deserves the respect of the viewer. Here such an uncompromising and decent man plays Alexander Korshunov.

Dima's mother

It was played by Olga Samoshina. The role is not easy, but the actress was a success. All the monologues had to be spoken on tearing up or just screaming. Olga Samoshina is a pretty lady, but here she is dressed in a terrible brown sweatshirt of enormous size, which, according to the director's idea, should emphasize all the wretchedness of the life of the Nikitin family. Dima's mother is an avid and quarrelsome woman who can not say a word well. For her, the main thing is to live like everyone else, no matter how much. Even at dinner, she grumbles and reproaches her son for his inability to survive in this world. At the end of the picture even slaps him for coming back to save people.

Other actors of the movie "Fool"

Nikita's wife was played by Darya Moroz. The image of her heroine is developing quite dynamically: in the house of her mother-in-law she is a silent daughter-in-law, and in the car she shows her real face. Although, on the other hand, she's just not as naive as her husband, and understands how his self-activity can badly end for their family.

Kirill Polukhin got the role of fire department chief Matyugina. The head of the police department of Sayapin was played by Maxim Pinsker, the secretary of Galaganova Razumikhin - Lyubov Rudenko.

Elena Panova and Dmitry Kulichkov played an unreliable couple from the hostel. The husband-alcoholic constantly beats his wife, and that his mother on what the light stands.

By the way, almost all the actors of the movie "Fool" are honored artists of Russia.

Allegory or reality

On the playbill of the film you can write "Based on real events", and it will turn out to be true. Situations such or similar pond dozens. Some viewers saw in the story something more that the director wanted to convey. Like, the hostel is all post-Soviet space, and the example of the top of this nameless city shows the collapse of the country as a whole. People like Nikitin can be counted on the fingers. But most people think about the same way as Dmitry's wife or mother.

Movie title

Nikitin's life position is the subject of most disputes after viewing. Although everyone admires his fearlessness and self-sacrifice, but many viewers who watched Bykov's film "Fool" do not hide the fact that they themselves would hardly have done the same. Why? Yes, because modern egoistic society is not worthy of it, and no one will appreciate it, or even worse - they will kick with their feet.

Someone even sees parallels with Dostoevsky's "Idiot", where it is shown that a decent and honest man is considered a fool. Fool Nikitin in the movie called ten times - and his mother, and his wife, and the police, and tenants all the same hostel. So the director wanted to emphasize how collective consciousness branded those who stand head and shoulders above the rest when it comes to decency. Unfortunately, such people are not admired, they are not set as an example, but, on the contrary, insult them, calling them fools. Their behavior is considered unacceptable and abnormal, even to the feeble-minded.

Although most agree that everyone would like to live in the country such "fools" as Nikitin.
