Films with Adriano Celentano: a list of all the works of the Italian actor

This charming Italian conquered all of Europe, and also became very fond of Russia and other countries of the former Soviet Union, where viewers are mostly familiar only with the most famous of his works, such as the comedy "Madly in Love", "Tuz", "Bingo Bongo" and Criminal comedy film "Bluff". But his cinematographic work is much larger.

In many, he acts not only as an actor, but also as a director, scriptwriter, composer. Films with Adriano Celentano, the list of which is presented below, cover more than 30 years of the actor's life.

A short excursion into the history

Few people know that Celentano grew up in a poor family, where he was the fifth child. And if it were not for a lucky chance, but also assertiveness, talent and diligence, he would have become a very good watchmaker. But fate decreed otherwise, and a talented boy from Milan, passionately fond of music, especially rock'n'roll, began his career as an author and songwriter in the distant 1954. At first he was a member of the group "Rock Boys" and together with them performed at festivals, and a little later focused on his solo career.

Already in December 1961, Adriano organized his own recording company called "Clan Celentano", in which he gathered all his friends-like-minded people. The creative person could not pass by the cinema, and tried himself in the new sphere already in 1959. Initially, he got only small musical roles. Quite often Celentano played himself, but his acting talent did not go unnoticed, and soon he received the long-awaited lead role. Music remained his main passion, which did not prevent the Italian from taking part in at least one, or even two, films every year. This continued until 1992, until the actor left the movie, explaining his act with fatigue and lack of good suggestions. His musical career continues to this day with success.

The first works in the cinema

Early films with Adriano Celentano, list:

  • 1959 - "Guys and jukebox", "Come on, Johnny, come on!".
  • 1960 - "Musical automaton screams for love", "Screamers in front of the court", "Sweet Life".
  • 1963 - "Some strange type" (during the filming in this film, the actor became acquainted with the love of his life and his future wife Claudia Morey).

In all these tapes, Celentano has actually played himself, since most of them are musical. Until 1969, he starred in several minor episodic roles.

First successes and career development

In 1969, the Italian actor won the main role in the comedy film "Serafino", where he successfully played a rustic but kind farmer than subdued critics who more than warmly spoke about the film as a whole and the beginning actor in particular. The next project was again successful. The parody comedy "The Story of Loves and Knives" in 1971 again brought together a married couple in one frame. Celentano continued to improve in this profession and ventured to try himself in an unusual genre - drama. Partner Adriano on the set of the movie "White, Red and ..." was herself Sophia Loren. Until now, the role of the communist Annibale is one of the best in the filmography of the actor. In 1973 three films with the participation of Celentano appeared at once:

  • "The Emigrant."
  • "Five days".
  • "Rugantino."

Then came out:

  • "Bluff".
  • "Under some sign."
  • "Noble Venetian nicknamed Striped Butt."

The film "Bluff" of 1976 is particularly distinguished among these paintings. For the role of Felix in this crime comedy, Celentano was awarded the prize as the best actor.

Starry hour

It is believed that after the "Bluff" began the peak of popularity and relevance Adriano Celentano as an actor. Since 1977, he published two, three, or even four films a year:

  • 1977 - "Save me, she loves me" (Italian "The other half of the sky"), "Unlucky paparazzi".
  • 1978 - "Uncle Adolf nicknamed the Fuhrer", "Velvet Hands".
  • 1980 - "The Taming of the Shrew", "Here's the Hand", "The Mistress of the Hotel", "Saturday, Sunday and Friday".

Couple Adriano Celentano and Ornella Muti looked so organic in the frame and fell in love with the audience that the director duo Castellano and Pipolo decided to once again reduce the spirit of the stars in the frame in order to ensure the success of the new project. However, their next picture - "Madly in Love" in 1981 - is a remake of the "Roman holidays" and is not related in meaning to the film "The Taming of the Shrew." In the same year, there was "Tuz", and a year later - "Bingo-Bongo".

The End of the Cinematographic Path

After a series of fantastically successful projects, the actor's career gradually declined. Such brilliant and successful paintings did not come out any more. Recent films with Adriano Celentano (list for ten years):

  • Grand Hotel Excelsior.
  • "Special signs: irresistible handsome."
  • "Sing-sing".
  • "He's worse than me."
  • "Grumbling."

"Jackpot" in 1992 was the final of Celentano in the cinema. The tape failed miserably at the box office, without repulsing half the funds spent on it.

Handyman

In the work of the Italian star there are special films in which he acted not only as an actor, but also proved himself as a talented director, screenwriter, composer, producer.

Signed films with Adriano Celentano, list:

  • In 1965, he first appeared in the role of director, and also starred along with his wife in the comedy "Superjury in Milan".
  • 1974 - a landmark in the career of the Italian, because in his own successful project - the rock musical "Juppie-Doo" (in the French and Russian translation "Hurry, until the wife returned") - he acted in the lead role, was the director, producer, author Script and composer, and also took in his family - his wife and children.
  • Comedy musical of 1978 "Madman Geppo" Celentano loves to call "his film", because this is an autobiographical picture that reflects the essence and life of the musician and actor. It's no wonder that Claudia Morey played in it as well.
  • The next creation of the family tandem Celentano / Mori - a fantastic musical "Joan Lui", which is considered the most disastrous of all projects of Italian stars. Religious subjects, a strange script and an incomprehensible story were not impressed either by critics or spectators.
