Youthful maximalism: advantages and disadvantages

Youthful maximalism is a privilege of young people who have not yet learned to take a halftone. In the minds of young people there are only two poles: black and white. "All or nothing" - it is under this slogan is the maximalist. It is interesting that such a position is often very profitable and allows you to achieve a lot without having anything. Young people are making their way in life on one ambition. The characteristics of adolescence do not allow to accept the point of view of adults.

The latter seem indifferent and soft, ready to yield and compromise with life. Young do not make concessions. However, in the softness of adults there is a special power, as in the young ones. It's just a different view of reality. True, sometimes youthful maximalism with its inflated demands is much stronger than the sensible wisdom of the older generation.

Often in order to get what you want and achieve the goal, you need to move to it with clear certainty. In adults, it no longer exists. An experienced person can only say what he is sure of. He reasonably estimates his strength. The psychology of adolescence is more categorical and cutting. It also has a certain naivety, which has not yet disappeared from childhood. That's why young people do so many nonsense, which later becomes a shame. Becoming adults, people often try to protect their children from those mistakes that they made themselves. However, here they run into a wall of misunderstanding - all the same youthful maximalism. The famous problem of "fathers and children" for the whole world has a tragedy of misunderstanding of generations.

Over time, this phenomenon, of course, passes. It is noted that men by the age of 30 do not want much from life. It does not happen to everyone, but to many. Therefore, to retain the share of youthful fire still need. All successful people who achieved something in life were motivated by the dreams of their youth. At heart they remained young. Youth has something that no age period has - strength and pressure, despite all life's obstacles, to move forward.

Youthful maximalism does not accept the majority's values. Therefore, many young people say that they will not live as their parents do. However, having matured, many, unfortunately, repeat them to the smallest detail. Probably, if the youth were more circumspect, this would not happen. But the mind is the property of adults and mature people, who already have little to change in life and do not believe in their own strength. It is interesting that sometimes such phenomenon as juvenile maximalism is also found among adults. However, here it acquires other features. In adulthood, he does not have that youthful charm, when naivety, pressure and a certain amount of desperation are mixed into one cocktail. The adult maximalist is unsettled, he does not listen to anyone but himself. At the same time, such qualities do not bring him benefits, rather, they only spoil his relations with others.

Youthful features place in his youth. Adults can not afford the luxury of categorical choices and judgments. In addition, the thinking of an experienced person has one distinctive characteristic - flexibility. It is this quality and the ability to take someone else's point of view about moral and mental maturity. Unfortunately, such a property often becomes the cause of conformism. Reality breaks down wings and reduces requests. Those who have not stopped dreaming, becoming adults, are one. Often such people achieve more in life than their peers. Because they understand what drives the person to the goal. Being engaged in self-development, you can very much understand and assess the shortcomings of both periods in life. Revaluation will help to make the right decision and find a way out of the most difficult situation.
