Writing Summary: Basic Rules

The concept of "resume" replaced the word "autobiography", but, in fact, it remained the same. Secondly, the resume should be made, especially underlining the most important moments of the biography, having an opportunity to be useful on a concrete post. Thirdly, do not forget that the CV, which has made a favorable impression on the employer, does not guarantee 100% of the desired work after a personal meeting, although it is still necessary to strive for an interview.

Structure and rules for creating a resume

Resume writing should always begin with personal information. Avoiding the pronoun "I" in the text, you should introduce yourself - indicate the full name and patronymic, last name. It is best to highlight these data in large print so that the employer or employee of the recruitment agency can orientate during the interview. After the name you can specify the age and date of birth, just below - all the necessary contact addresses, among which it is possible to add the address of the website or e-mail, as well as all the phones for which the applicant can be contacted at any time. The rules for writing a resume require that the patronymic in the document be indicated necessarily, as well as an indication of which phone is working and which is home.

In the resume, you must accurately write the full title of the post, which the applicant claims. No vague formulations or free descriptions - just a complete coincidence with the declared form. In order not to reduce the chances of getting a certain job, only one desired post should be indicated in the resume. It is very convenient if the company offers its own sample of writing a resume. In this case it is much easier to understand what information should be mentioned in the document, and which will be superfluous.

It is necessary to specify all the data on education - the names of universities, dates, specialties, if there are - awards and titles, it is worth mentioning the presence of a "red" diploma or academic degree.

The most important point of the autobiography is the division of work experience. Writing a resume assumes that the given section should exceed all previous ones in size. Here it is necessary to clearly and structurally mention all the places of work, the tasks and projects that have been completed, mention some features of the work performed and their merits. Do not use common phrases about your willingness to work in a team, the excellent abilities of the organizer or great experience in the field where the applicant wants to get a position. The best thing about professionalism is the facts and, possibly, the characteristics of the work done.

To summarize, it should be said that writing a resume is a complicated matter, but necessary. It is important that the compiled document be brief (no more than one and a half or two pages) and specific, with clear wording and the expression of an active position. It is not necessary to be too wordy in describing your experience and detail the reasons that led the applicant to seek a new job. An important rule that a resume should adhere to is informative and honesty, as well as the preliminary preparation of a list of people ready to give positive suggestions to the candidate for a new post.
