In our time, the use of a double switch is widespread. Indeed, because with this technology you can use a beautiful chandelier with a few lights or spotlights, which, undoubtedly, is very convenient when adjusting the optimal lighting.

The circuit of connection of the double switch allows to operate two groups of bulbs for illumination of the area. Accordingly, the work of each group is regulated by a specially assigned key for it. The maximum number of bulbs of each group can reach 8, although it is possible to organize the operation of even more, everything depends on ingenuity and connection scheme. Let's consider it in more detail.

The junction box includes two wires, red and blue. The first is the phase, and the second is zero. The red wire is connected to the same color wire in the junction box, and then goes to the common node of the double switch, which, in turn, comes out yellow and orange.

The ultimate goal of the yellow cable is to come to the first group of light bulbs, and the orange one to the second one, respectively. They are responsible for regulating all lighting. It turns out that the circuit for connecting a double switch is quite simple and easy to understand. The blue cord (zero) closes the picture, which is always fed to all groups of luminaires, unlike the other wires, with which the switch coordinates only the phases of the groups. All these features once again prove the practicality of a double switch.

There are two technologies for connecting wires to switches: self-clamping terminals and clamps using screws. The first method is more progressive and convenient, since the fastening does not weaken over time. Screw clamps have to be tightened periodically, because the tightening screw has the property to gradually move away.

The sum of all the cables supplied in the junction box is eight: two from the electrical panel, three outputs to the switch and three to the light bulbs. However, there may be cases when the number of wires is even greater, for example, with the arrangement of lamps in different places - the corridor and the bedroom. The zero wire should be connected everywhere, and therefore, with this placement it is twice as large.

The circuit of connection of the double switch is considered with the grounding system TN-C. It can vary in type, and can also be represented in TN-S or TN-CS mode. These types are designed to create additional electrical safety.

In turn, the switches themselves have a great choice. The device can once again emphasize the individuality of the host. They differ in design, color, can be backlit, switch without noise and stuff.

For immediate installation, it is necessary to turn off the electricity, prepare the wires, shortening them by 10 cm, connect to the switch. Next, you need to place and secure the switch in the installation box. The last step of the whole process is the placement of the framework.
