Wildlife is an amazing gift that we can lose

Wildlife is the totality of all organisms that inhabit our planet. The main signs on which one can distinguish between the living and the lifeless are:

  • Complex structure;
  • The presence of a reaction to external stimuli;
  • Complication with development and growth;
  • The ability to reproduce with the preservation of the genetic information of parents;
  • The use of energy received from the environment for their own needs.

All life during its existence passes through a series of successive stages: birth, development, withering and death.

In addition, there are 6 stages of organization of life:

  • Molecular (historically the oldest life structure);
  • Cell (there are both unicellular and multicellular organisms);
  • Organisms (includes individual individuals);
  • Population-species (a set of representatives of one species or population);
  • Biocenotic (a number of species living in a limited territory);
  • Biospheric.

This definition is very superficial and can not fully convey the whole meaning and reveal the meaning of this term. In order to do this, more detailed studies of the environment and the study of the information obtained are required. Scientific research in this area began in ancient times and continues to the present day.

According to this classification, the living nature is the last level of development, which is related to the rest as a whole and its parts.

The world of living nature

The current situation, however, is complicated by the fact that a person ceased to feel part of the world around him, other objects of living nature became only a means to meet his growing needs. In the process of evolution, Homo sapiens had a false sense of superiority and undivided power over nature. This is primarily due to the ability to transform the world around us. But we must not forget that inanimate nature can not exist separately from the living. Irrelevant actions in the near future can lead to the fact that the point of no return will be passed , after which a global ecological catastrophe will not be prevented.

The world of wildlife is really very fragile. The proof is the appearance of more and more new pages in the Red Book. Wildlife is 5 kingdoms: animals, plants, bacteria, fungi and viruses, which are in close interconnection. The disappearance of one, even the smallest of their representatives, can destroy all other forms of life.

It is very difficult for a typical inhabitant to understand how, for example, cutting down a forest plot to build a plant can affect anything other than its income. But everything is quite simple: in addition to contaminating water, soil and air, this leads to the loss of the habitual habitat of many animals and, as a consequence, their death.

The continuation of the barbarous attitude to the resources that the living nature gives us is nothing but the destruction of oneself by our own hands. In order for future generations to enjoy all the riches of the planet Earth, we need to understand this and now depart from the consumer worldview.
