Amanda Quick: Biography and Creativity

Jane Ann Krenz is a famous American writer. Her books do not leave the bestseller lists of The New York Times. She published her novels under seven different names, now the writer uses only three aliases. When asked why she has so many names, the author answers that in this case the reader, having opened the book, always knows which of the three worlds he is to enter.

Biography

Amanda Quick is one of the pseudonyms of writer Jane Krenz. She was born on March 28, 1948 in Cobb, California. The first ten years of her life spent in Borrego Springs. In 1970 she graduated from the University of California with a bachelor's degree in history. Being confident that with this degree it will be difficult to find a job, I decided to obtain a master's degree in library science from the University of San Jose.

After graduation she marries the engineer Frank Krenz, whom she met at the university. The young moved to the Virgin Islands, where Jane worked for a year in elementary school as a librarian. This period of her life she calls a career disaster and moves to the library systems of Duke University.

Early years of writing career

While still working at Duke University, Jane begins writing romance novels with a paranormal flavor. For six years she sent her works to various publishing houses. But invariably received a refusal. During this time, she tried several times to stop writing. But for the further career of the husband they had to move to Seattle.

And Jane continued to write. In 1979, her first novel, The Sweet Pirate, was published. Afterwards he publishes several more novels under his own name Jane Krenz. But the publisher enters into a contract with her, in which one of the conditions is not to use the name in new works for ten years. This led to the creation of several names, including the pseudonym Amanda Quick.

Aliases and genres

Amanda Quick in 2006 wrote a series of books "Secret Societies". They talk about members of secret societies with mysterious abilities.
