The future legend in the face of an ordinary guy was born in 1962 in Leningrad in a mixed family: an ethnic Korean and a native Leningrad. The secondary art school, in which Victor studied for three years, was the first stage of the musician's creative life. It was here that he participated in the group "Chamber No. 6", which was headed by Maxim Pashkov. Then Tsoi was excluded from the "art" for his poor progress, and he began to master the specialty of a woodcarver at Vocational School No. 61. In his youth Victor "sick" Vladimir Vysotsky and Mikhail Boyarsky, and then his idol was Bruce Lee, he even took a great interest in martial arts and imitated the image of the "fighting" film actor. The singer's parents met in 1961 at a meeting of the New Year with a circle of common friends. Robert Tsoy is a Korean from Kazakhstan with a very ancient history of the surname, which is one of the most famous in Korea. In search of a better life, he moved to Vladivostok and connected fate with Anna Vasilyevna Yugay. In 1937, as a result of Stalin's deportation, the Tsoi family settled in Kyzyl-Orda (Kazakhstan), where generations later the father of the future rock legend appeared. Robert Maksimovich received engineering education at the Leningrad Mechanical Institute.

The musician's mother, Valentina Guseva (in girlhood), is a native Leningrader, her ancestors are the hereditary peasants of the Gorodoksky district (Vitebsk province).

Robert and Valentine were married in February 1961, and a year and a half later the couple had a son named Vitya.

Memories of childhood

The debut album

Tropillo's studio (the House of Young Technology) with the participation of the musicians of the Aquarium. It was called "45" (this was the length of the songs) and was released in June 1982. Then "Kino" performed with the first full-fledged concert. With the release of the album, the group was talked about: the first apartments in the capital and Leningrad were being organized. Car Accident

08/15/1990 Viktor Tsoy was killed in a tragic road accident on the road near Riga.
