Where to go on vacation in Saki? Weather, sea, hotels, prices

G. Saki is located on the western coast of the Crimean peninsula, five kilometers from the sea. Many come to this well-known balneological resort to improve their health. And indeed, mineral springs, therapeutic muds, a dendrological park and magnificent nature all contribute to the fact that thousands of tourists not only from Russia, but also from former CIS countries and Europe come to Saki. Crimea, the prices for holidays in which are becoming more stable from year to year, for the last two or three years has turned into a favorite vacation spot for many of our compatriots who previously chose several other destinations, for example, Egypt or Turkey.

A bit of history

There are several versions of the origin of the Oikonym. According to one, the city was given the name of the Scythians, once it inhabited. According to the second version, "mud" in the translation from the Turkic - "saki".

The exact date of appearance of the first settlement on the site of the city is not established. About twenty-five centuries ago this part of the Crimean coast began to be actively populated by Greek colonists. Some historians believe that it is from this time that the story of Sak originates. At the beginning of our millennium the village was well known to the Romans, as evidenced by the numerous antique coins found during excavations in the vicinity of the resort.

Mud from Saki Lake for medical purposes began to be used by people in the Middle Ages. According to legend, he noted the healing of local mud chumak, who came to these places for salt. When his heavily overloaded oxen were stuck in the coastal mud, he had to spend the morning with them, tramping in slush with his aching legs. However, upon arrival home, the Chumak was surprised to find that the chronic pain that had tormented him for many years had left him ...

Since 1827, the county doctor S. Auger began to officially practice in Saki, engaged exclusively in mud therapy. To this decision, he was prompted by the results of those studies conducted by Russian scientists that revealed the chemical composition and unique therapeutic properties of the mixture.

Recreation

In Saki, people come to plunge into the salty lake, which stretches near the village for as much as five kilometers. It appeared on the site of a flooded river about five thousand years ago by the Black Sea, at the bottom of which clay, pebbles, mud and salt were gradually deposited. The resulting mixture, as it turned out, has healing properties. It is for the sake of this mud that many come here to rest. You can come to Saki in any season. The mud here has a unique composition, in some respects it is even better than the one in the Dead Sea.

The cooking salt of local lakes in the Middle Ages began to be consumed: it was here that the famous Chumatsky shlie passed along which the Cossacks used to go for "white gold" to the Crimea.

Another factor due to which many Russians choose this holiday: in Saki tourists come to visit weakly alkaline mineral springs. Their water in its properties is not inferior to those from Yessentuki or Truskavets.

Climate

Another natural resource that makes recreation here attractive is the weather. In Saki, five kilometers distant from the sea and located in the zone of the coastal steppe climate, the average annual temperature is 11.2 ° C with a humidity of 77 percent. Summer is usually hot here: in July, as a rule, the thermometer is kept at +23.3 ° С. Winter, in turn, is mild. The average February temperature does not go below one degree of frost. The weather in Saki is usually "greedy" for precipitation, but also "generous" in the sun, which shines over the region for more than two and a half thousand hours a year. The swimming season here begins already from the first days of June and lasts until early October. During this period the water warms up to seventeen degrees.

What you can see

At this resort people come not only to rest: in Saki many arrive, judging by the reviews, to combine treatment with visiting local attractions. Here you can visit the Church of St. Elijah, the Local History Museum, the Greco-Scythian pantheon of Kara-Tobe.

The city park is one of the most beautiful places of Sak. Here, in the man-made park, under the shade of eighty species of trees and shrubs, there are thirty interesting sculptural compositions.

The combination of thermal springs, silt mud, sea air and a large number of pine groves makes the climate Sak very beneficial. Being here, you should definitely visit the Mikhailovsky Lake.

Sanatoriums in Saki

The resort is known as a place where people come not only to rest, but also to be treated. According to doctors, ideal conditions have been created for the treatment of many gynecological diseases, including infertility. Local climatic conditions in combination with balneological resources help doctors to successfully cope with diseases of the nervous and cardiovascular systems, and with diseases of the digestive organs.

The best Saka sanatoriums are medical institutions named after N. N. Burdenko and him. N. Pirogov, "Blue Wave", "Tangier", "Northern Lights", "Yurmino". In the city there are many health resorts of different levels, starting with the class "economy" and ending with large medical centers. Many people come to rest in Saki, choosing hotels or boarding houses working on the "all inclusive" system. As a rule, they all have a swimming pool, playgrounds, sports halls. Such popular sanatoria as "Poltava" (Saki) offer services and accommodation that are not inferior to what modern medical centers can boast for high-class recreation. For the convenience of the guests, meals here during the high season are organized according to the "buffet" system.

"Poltava"

Many Crimean sanatoria were built in Soviet times. But today they are completely renovated and turned into unique hospitals. Some of them, for example, "Poltava" (Saki), had in their time all-Union fame. Today the fame of this Crimean health resort has reached Europe. Here come from Germany and Israel, from Canada and many other countries. Annually Poltava receives more than two thousand patients from far and near abroad. It is awarded high awards from both domestic resort organizations and European ones. The cost of living with treatment in a double room (with meals) in high season starts from a thousand eight hundred rubles per day.

Sea and beaches are wonderful holidays

You can come to Saki at any time of the year. Rest here is somewhat different from that offered by neighboring Crimean resorts. The fact is that in Saki the sea beach as such does not exist, because the city is not located on the coast. Therefore, those who want to leave the hotel, a couple of minutes to be on the beach, it is not recommended to go here. To the sea, you need to travel by public transport, which drives to the stop "Beach". From Sak to the sea shore ten minutes drive.

The nearest is the central city beach. It has a sandy cover, it is fully equipped, the entrance is free. In seven kilometers, near the village of Novofedorivka, there is another good beach. But many prefer to go to the swimming wild zone, located behind the children's camp. Titov.

Entertainment in Saki

I must say that there is not much entertainment in this resort. Therefore, it is more suitable for a calm and measured rest, combined with mud treatment. Of course, there are places in the city where tourists can go to relax. This is a cafe, restaurants, casino, billiard. But for night entertainment and other "pleasures" will need to go, for example, to the neighboring Evpatoria. Not far from Sak built an entertainment complex called "Sun". On an area of four and a half hectares there is a 450-meter equipped beach, equipment rental outlets, water attractions, a diving center with professional instructors, sports fields for playing aquapole or streetball, volleyball and paintball. There are also bars and cafes offering dishes of national cuisines of the Crimean nationalities, as well as the largest dance floor in Crimea, accommodating three thousand people.

Where to stay

Guest houses are very popular with tourists. Saki is a place where you can come, counting on an economical vacation. Guest houses here are surprised by the high level of service and pleasant prices. In the private sector, as elsewhere in the Crimea, it is relatively inexpensive to rent housing that fully meets the needs. This option is great for those tourists who come here for a budget stay, in guest houses. Saki, judging by the reviews, is a resort where everyone will find a room for themselves and a purse. And guest houses offer services similar to those found in hotels or hotels, but at prices much more democratic. For example, last summer for living in the "Golden Fish" in the high season (a room for two with a kitchen, but without food, that is, you'll have to cook on your own) asked a thousand rubles a day.

In turn, guest houses located in the suburbs of Sak, on the first coastline, such as "Golden", "Valeo", etc., cost a little more - from 1,500 to 2,500 rubles (without food). They all have a patio, a common kitchen and a bathroom (shared, on the floor or individual, depending on the room category).

Where to eat

As Mr. Saki is a resort, you can find quite a lot of food options in the private sector (there are definitely cafes nearby). Some people prefer to buy food and cook their own food, others go to dining rooms or restaurants. In the private sector, guest house owners often offer inexpensive and tasty food. The price they have for an average dinner starts at five dollars. The best restaurants and cafes in Saki are Hellas, "Coffee House", "Smak", "Crimean Yard", "Eastern Cuisine", "Cheburechnaya".
