Where does the Central Ring Road go? Scheme of construction of the Central Ring Road

One of the most significant infrastructure projects of federal significance in the last few years can be called, without exaggeration, the reconstruction of the Central Ring Highway. The geopolitical events that are taking place at the moment - various sanctions and embargoes on imported materials and equipment from Western Europe and the United States, limiting the access of Russian companies to the markets of cheap foreign capital, are of special importance to this project.

What is the CKAD historically?

For many post-war decades of the 20th century, right up to the collapse of the Soviet Union, the Central Ring Road was the military strategic artery of the air defense troops of the Moscow region. Where the TsKAD passes, the movement of cargo and troops between military units located in the immediate vicinity of the Central Circuit and carrying missile complexes around the circumference at a distance of about 30 km from Moscow was carried out. In these years, the departure and, even more so, the passage through the Central Circle of Roads was strictly limited to military posts. Of course, this road did not have the necessary attributes of a general-purpose road, that is, road dividing markings, lighting, fencing. And the road coverage did not meet international standards, it was concrete and was intended for passage of heavy military equipment without special comfort, but at any time of the year and in any weather. That is why the people of the road where the Central Ring Road passes are called "concrete".

What is the CKAD today?

After the acquisition of sovereignty by the Russian Federation, the military doctrine also underwent significant changes . Now we have developed new modern weapons, including air defense systems, which can provide their immediate functions without any restrictions. And so the territory where the Central Ring Road passes is opened for general use.

In some places, the old destroyed coating was repaired, asphalt laid, road markings were made, bridges were repaired.

However, after the change in economic structure in Russia, the introduction of widespread industrial decentralization, a large-scale increase in freight turnover between the regions, Moscow became the main cargo-handling center of the country, and this road did not meet modern requirements at all. Millions of tons of cargo on the radial highways arrive in the Moscow region and after processing at the warehouse terminals along the same highways they travel back to the regions.

In this situation, trucks approaching the city have a unique opportunity to move inside the region between the highways only along the Moscow ring road, which is also used for public transport and cars. Such a volume of transport is not able to "digest" not even a very wide and modern highway. In these conditions there was not simply a comfort issue, but a vital issue of the reconstruction of the Central Department Store where grandiose construction will take place, since without it all the vehicles of the Moscow region will become one big traffic jam.

CKAD: scheme of passage

Reconstruction of the Central Ring Road was decided to be carried out in five starting complexes, starting from the "DON" route and further clockwise. The reconstructed road will pass along the route of the existing "betonka" with the construction of several backup roads near the cities of Odintsovo and Mytischi, as well as along the site where the Tsentral CJSC Zvenigorod SS 155 passes.

The road itself is planned to be fulfilled for all the modern requirements that meet international standards.

If we combine the main points of the forthcoming reconstruction of the Central Ring Road, the construction scheme will look like this:

- eight to ten lanes of two-way trafficless traffic;

- modern asphalt-concrete coating;

- the absence of adjacent, intersecting traffic, secondary roads, only through reversal "pockets";

- modern interchanges with radial highways.

Road CKAD - where will it take place?

The road of the Central Ring Road will pass along the bypass sections of Moscow region cities, connecting Domodedovo, Odintsovo, Zvenigorod, Solnechnogorsk, Mytischi, Shchelkovo, Bronnitsy with each other.

Features of the financial and economic component of the Central Ring Road

Given the difficult financial and economic conditions described in the foreword, it was decided to implement the scheme of the construction of the Central Ring Road on the terms of public-private partnership. What does this mean?

Large road construction Russian and foreign holdings conclude a contract with the state for a period of thirty years on the terms of the tender. Under the terms of the contract, the company builds and operates a particular section of the road for its own or attracted finances, but at the same time to compensate for its costs it is entitled to charge a fare on a particular site.

Of course, PPP is a new form of organization of construction for modern Russia. However, considering what competition has developed at the competitions for each section of the Central Ring Road reconstruction, this form is very promising.

As for the development of the Moscow region areas adjacent to the Central Ring Road, of course, the presence of such a modern highway will give impetus to the construction of housing (such serious construction companies as Morton, SU-155, PIK and t already announced their intentions .). In particular, on the outskirts of Zvenigorod, adjacent to the Central Ring Road, SU-155 intends to build several residential areas. And these are new residents, new jobs and taxes.
