What to do if there are shellfish on the face.

Every day our children communicate with their peers and at the same time pick up a lot of diseases, from the usual cold and ending with serious infections. Accordingly, the smaller the circle of communication of the child, the less likely to pick up any sore. Molluscum contagiosum is one of those diseases that are transmitted directly by contact with an infected person. Not only children are exposed to the virus, but also adults.

Molluscs on the skin of children are manifested by the formation of single and multiple nodules of flesh color after the expiration of fourteen days after the virus enters the body.

They are formed on the face, hands, trunk and legs. Molluscs on the face cause itching, and urgent measures must be taken so that the baby does not tear the nodules. This can lead to a bacterial infection. Therefore, it can cause redness and even suppuration, as well as the development of dermatitis.

Formed nodules, which manifest shellfish on the face and body, require immediate examination by a specialist who will prescribe treatment to the child. Often it is accompanied by the removal of formations with a special sharp spoon, one after another. The procedure is rather painful, therefore, with a large number of formations, local anesthesia is used. However, in some cases, molluscs in children, whose treatment has not been performed, go away by themselves.

In order to identify this disease in a child at an early stage, it is necessary to know that the main parts of the body where the formations appear are the face and hands. Appearing clams on the face and hands require immediate diagnosis and treatment. The causative agent of a disease is a virus that acts on the immune system, making it weak. The poor state of the immune system can cause the infectious molluscum to enter the body. Therefore, during illness the child needs to get enough vitamins to maintain and strengthen immunity. During the treatment of the child, it is necessary to thoroughly clean the room and disinfect toys. Bed linen must be washed at high temperature followed by ironing in steaming mode. Particular attention should be paid to the bathroom, sink and toilet bowl: basically the virus lives in contaminated and damp places. The child is strictly forbidden to visit public places, in particular swimming pools and baths.

If you notice that your child has mollusks on his face, immediately consult a doctor. Self-treatment of the virus of molluscum contagiosum is fraught with complications and slowing down the process of recovery. Parents should follow all the doctor's recommendations. An important factor in the child's recovery is his correct and complete diet. It should contain a large number of fruits and vegetables. When the illness of classmates or friends of the child should take preventive measures, after consulting a specialist. Remember, if the diet of the child is diverse and contains a lot of fruits and vegetables, then the immunity will cope with the virus before the appearance of skin rashes.
