What is the Red Book of Tatarstan?

For the first time the Red Book was presented to the public in the middle of the last century. With the initiative of its publication was made by the English zoologist Peter Scott. On pages of several volumes representatives of the world of animals and plants, being under the threat of complete destruction, were described in detail.

After this event, one by one, special books of the former Soviet republics appeared. And in 1983 the Red Book of the Russian Federation was first published. In the eighties of the twentieth century, the so-called Red Lists of the Volga and the Urals were compiled. Then it was decided to compile separate publications for each of the Russian regions.

Let's see what this book is

The Red Book of Tatarstan is a document that is issued according to the legislation of this republic. It not only contains data for each protected wildlife object, but lists the reasons for their disappearance and measures that can contribute to their conservation. For the first time its publication was published in 1995, after ten years the list contained in it was updated and then reduced. As a result of all these changes, the Red Book of Tatarstan contained 595 species of plants, mushrooms and animals, of which 214 are representatives of the animal world.

All of them are divided into six categories, each of which characterizes the status of individual representatives of the flora or fauna at the present time. Thus, category 0 denotes completely extinct species, where no information was received about their whereabouts for fifty years prior to their inclusion in the list. Category 5 denotes those species that are successfully recovered and in the short term will no longer need special measures to protect them.

Publications of this kind, including the Red Book of Tatarstan, are not at all documents of last resort, which is why they differ from other directories, because they require making changes on an ongoing basis. It is on the basis of updated data on the state of the animal and plant world that it is possible to judge the necessity of introducing protective measures in relation to any species, and also to decide on the regulation of the number of individual representatives of the fauna

Plants and animals of Tatarstan

The work on the compilation of such books should be continuous, and its ultimate goal is to reduce the number of species listed on the pages of the publication from year to year. For example, some animals of the Red Book of Tatarstan have already "gone" from its pages back to the forests, among them was a marmot, or, in another way, a European, gray partridge and brown bear.

This only indicates that the work of environmentalists was effective and helped to survive these beautiful creatures. Unfortunately, in the lists that have disappeared from the territory of the republic of species, such animals of Tatarstan as sable, wolverine, reindeer appear. And also many others, which people have not been able to save.

But, in addition to representatives of mammals, fish, birds and amphibians, there are other sections that include the Red Book of Tatarstan.

Plants: ordinary and medicinal herbs, flowers and trees - also expect organized help and support of a person. By the way, the list of herbs that have healing properties was released in a separate volume, and it included the names known to many: blueberry, marsh cranberry, bearberry (bear's eye) and others.

Endangered species

As for animals, the following species are currently listed in the Red Book:

- Insectivores (tiny toothless, desman, hedgehog eared);

- bats (two-tone leather, northern leather, fox forest, dwarf dwarf, gigantic evening);

- rodents (voles red, jerboa large, steppe variegated, hamster gray, hamster Eversmann);

- predatory (otter, European mink, ermine, marten stone).

Feathered

Of the birds in the book there are many subspecies:

  • Gagarike;
  • Greyhound-like;
  • Copepods;
  • Stem-like;
  • Flamingo-like;
  • Anseriformes;
  • Falciform;
  • Cranes;
  • Blue-gray;
  • Owl-like;
  • Kozodoobraznye;
  • Rakshe-like;
  • Wodo-like;
  • Woodpeckers;
  • Passerine-like.

Reptiles

Do not forget the defenders of nature and the reptiles, which represent the viper ordinary, steppe viper , copper snake, fragile spindle and marsh turtle, as well as amphibians, their lists were replenished by the gray toad, foxes red-bellied and newt comb.

Unfortunately, the invertebrate representatives of the animal world also made a huge list, among which there are ciliated worms, mollusks, crustaceans, spiders, footsteps, dragonflies, orthopterans, semi-feathery, coleoptera, net-winged, scaly-winged, Hymenoptera, and dipterous insects.

The deteriorating ecological situation in the republic, and in the world as a whole, has led to the fact that many species of mushrooms are also included in the Red Book.

Conclusion

Looking at these lists, which contain not only the Red Book of Tatarstan, but also many volumes of these publications throughout the Earth, I want to remind people that all residents are obliged to strive to preserve the living nature of their region of residence and to take an active part in the conservation of rare and endangered species. After all, only by the example of one such publication we see that the animals and plants of this country can remain in the memory of generations only in illustrations to these "black" lists.
