These rare animals are found only in the mountainous areas of central and southern China. These areas are densely covered with damp and cold forests, which is an ideal environment for the growth of bamboo, the favorite delicacy of a bear-cat.

Their area of habitation can be considered an area of about 30 thousand square kilometers. Growing up, each individual gradually acquires its own territory, marking it with marks on trees. In general, we can say that pandas are quite isolated mammals, leading a mostly secluded lifestyle. They seldom invade the possessions of their congeners.

• Pregnancy of the puberty of five-year, less often eight-year, panda lasts from 95 to 160 days. As a rule, after the expiration of this term, one or two babies are born to the female.
