In the vocabulary of almost every person there are several thousand words. This number essentially depends on its level of education, erudition and general development. According to statistical data, the average adult vocabulary is between ten and twelve thousand words.

A characteristic feature of educated people is the proper and appropriate use of their linguistic reserve. The key to literacy in terms of words and concepts is the reference to the origins of word formation, as well as the search for reliable, undistorted information.

The word "method" has Greek roots. In a literal translation, it means "the path, following the path." The word "analyst", from which the name of the corresponding method occurs, means "the art of analysis." This term involves the separation of the object under consideration into its constituent elements, their research, measurement, and study. Analytical methods of work involve the collection and processing of information received as a result of using other methods.

Today, most analytical operations are performed using computers. Their capabilities of simultaneous parallel, rather than sequential processing of raw data allow you to perform analytical actions with ultra-speed. This approach is used in most areas of scientific, economic, industrial activities to achieve various goals.

Deduction and deductive methods

To understand what a method of deduction is, you can see by its definition. According to the dictionary, this is a method of constructing predictions, inferences or conclusions about particular situations or about the characteristics of individual elements of the system. The deductive method is based on the study of the general laws of a phenomenon or system. In other words, this is a study of the general for cognition of the particular.

What is the method of induction

Inductive reasoning connects the original data with the conclusion, guided not only by strict laws of logic, but also by means of some actual, psychological or mathematical representations. An integral component of such methods are the general patterns inherent in all phenomena in nature.

There is the concept of complete and incomplete induction. In the first case, the method of inductive causation establishes the processing of a finite number of particular prerequisites or cases. For a reasonable conclusion, it is necessary that the cases considered cover all possible aspects of the phenomenon.

The concept of "incomplete induction" is to advance an assumption or hypothesis based on the study (observation) of selected particular cases. Naturally, such hypotheses need confirmation.
Most often for their proof apply the method of mathematical induction. With its help, it becomes possible to realize complete induction for an infinite countable set of objects.

Which method is called dialectical

Summarizing several definitions, it can be said that the dialectical method is a method used to prove any position or statement when considering and comparing two cardinally opposing views. The study of diametrically different points of view makes it possible to obtain a true idea of the whole.

Understanding what a dialectic method is, helps to restore the sequence of events in forensic science, jurisprudence and psychotherapy. Dialectics also finds wide application in the scientific and economic spheres of activity. In economics, this method involves studying economic processes, as well as their patterns during development and movement. This approach allows us to establish the interdependence of economic phenomena, as well as the specifics of their interaction. Dialectical method is effective for identifying existing contradictions and inconsistencies. It is also indispensable in the search for compromise solutions to meet the needs of the warring parties.

The role of intuitive methods in the process of human activity

The complete opposite of analytical methods of decision-making and the formation of logical conclusions is intuition. According to the definition, intuitive methods of solving problems are a person's mental activity aimed at subconscious processing of initial data and issuing a quick result. As a rule, the process of output generation is influenced by previous experience, insight, "flair", empathy and imagination of a person.

Intuitive methods are not some kind of supernatural, supramental or circumventing sensations, thinking, and notions. By and large, they are the result of a kind of thinking. Formation of the method occurs when data processing and individual stages of the analysis process are performed almost unconsciously, but the result is extremely clear. Often, the result of intuitive methods is more successful than with an occasional set of actions, but less effective than using analytical and scientific techniques.

Scientific method and its specificity

A scientific method is a set of methods used to acquire new knowledge and develop algorithms for solving scientific problems. It is a set of techniques used to study the phenomena, ordering, ordering and adjusting received or already existing knowledge. The formation of inferences and conclusions occurs when using the actual data obtained as a result of empirical research. The main base that is used for data mining includes:

  • Experiments.
  • Measurements.
  • Observations.

On their soil, theories are constructed and hypothetical assumptions are made, which become the basis for constructing a mathematical description (the model of the object under study).

The scientific method is characterized by objectivity and total exclusion of subjective interpretation of results. This condition is mandatory for the methods used in each science. It is absolutely unacceptable to accept for approval any statements, even coming from recognized authorities in this field. There is the concept of independent verification. It would not be possible to conduct it without documenting the observations, as well as the availability of source materials, intermediate and final results for acquaintance by other scientists.

Such an approach guarantees additional confirmation of the successful reproduction of experiments or a critical evaluation of the degree of adequacy of the experiment and the result with respect to the theory that is being tested.

The concept of a "generalized method"

The use of generalized methods makes it possible to apply certain systems designed to achieve a specific goal in other areas.

Generalized methods can have different origins (most often they refer to analytical or scientific), but through logical operations after the exclusion of species attributes they acquire a new meaning. These methods have a wider scope and less concrete content.
