What is remarkable Dolgoprudnoe cemetery

As you might guess from its name, the Dolgoprudnoe cemetery is located near the town of Podoprudny near Moscow. Not far from the Moscow ring road. This is one of the largest metropolitan cemeteries. Today it consists of two parts. In 1975, a little southern was opened Dolgoprudnenskoye cemetery south. And the central one exists since 1957, it is based on the place of the previously existing rural cemetery. Their total area is 84 hectares. Currently, the reserve for expansion is exhausted, there is no more free territory in the neighborhood.

What is it today?

Currently, only related graves are made here, as well as the burial of urns in the ground or in the columbarium. In administrative terms, Dolgoprudny cemetery is a structural subdivision of State Unitary Enterprise "Ritual", one of the office offices of which is located to the right of the entrance gate, next to the store of ritual supplies. The layout of the territory leaves much to be desired, it does not correspond to the logistics rules in full. This is reflected in the fact that the scheme of the Dolgoprudny cemetery is quite complex and does not always have a well-designed numbering of avenues and plots. Due to the fact that its modern territory was formed in stages. But in terms of landscaping and general improvement, everything corresponds to the generally accepted municipal urban planning standards. During all seasons of the year Dolgoprudny cemetery accepts a lot of visitors. People are also crowded here on weekdays, not to mention the Parent's Day, when a visit to the cemetery is considered mandatory. These are the traditions. On the ninth day after Easter, it is customary to commemorate the deceased. To do it in the cemetery, you can put a funeral candle in one of the two Orthodox churches: St. George and St. Sergius of Radonezh.

Scheme of the cemetery and mode of operation

With all the intricacies of planning, it is possible to trace the pattern in it. The numbering of parcels goes in increasing order from left to right and as you move to the depth of the cemetery. The largest number of the site is-136a. It is located in the far right corner of the territory. The mode of operation does not differ from other objects of SUE "Ritual". Dolgoprudny cemetery is open for visitors from 9 am to 7 pm in the summer and from 9 am to 5 pm in the winter season. The burial is performed from 9 to 5 pm daily.
