What are the oil caps made from?

By its design, this part is a rubber sleeve with a rigid steel base. That is, the main component of the oil-removable caps is rubber, since it depends on the degree of wear and tear that the serviceability and the life of the entire mechanism depend. The steel base can serve forever, so it does not have as much significance as its second component. As for the rubber itself, there are also nuances here. If the cap was made of acrylic or secondary rubber, be sure: this part will last a very long time. If the composition of rubber includes other components, their service life can be very short.
