What are the pricks for psoriasis?

Psoriasis is one of the skin diseases. Getting rid of him is a rather problematic process that can take years, and sometimes even all his life. Despite the fact that psoriasis poses no danger to others, it looks not at all aesthetically pleasing and can disgust.

For treatment, special creams, ointments and other topical preparations are usually used. In search of a more effective remedy, psoriatic injections were developed. It is about them that will be discussed in the article.

How is psoriasis manifested?

The appearance of the disease is associated with malfunctions in the life cycle of skin cells. At a time when in a healthy body this period is approximately 30 days, during psoriasis it decreases to 4-5 days.

In the affected areas, inflammation of the skin is observed , which is accompanied by the appearance of red plaques. They look like dry spots, raised above the surface of the body. Very often, the whole process is accompanied by a strong continuous itching and flaking.

Means for treatment of psoriasis

As already mentioned above, pharmaceutical companies for the control of psoriasis usually produce drugs of local type of action (creams, ointments, sprays) and tablets. Unfortunately, all of them differ only in short-term effectiveness. That's why new methods for fighting the disease began to be developed, which if they can not completely rid of it, then they will maximize the period of remission. One such means are injections for the treatment of psoriasis.

What are the advantages of injections?

In comparison with other drugs (tablets, creams, and so on), injections have several important advantages.

First, a very rapid onset of action of the drug.

Secondly, the treatment of psoriasis with injections involves the direct injection of the drug into the blood. And this means that he will not need to go through the aggressive environment of the stomach, as in the case of tablets.

And finally, thirdly, psoriasis shots have a stronger and lasting effect.

With all this, the most optimal option is to inject the medicine directly into the area affected by the plaques.
