We study the types of subordinate clauses

Russian is traditionally considered one of the most difficult. Foreigners, trying to master it, come to amazement from a huge number of rules and forms of text formation.

In Russian, sentences can be of several types. Among them we can distinguish:

1. Simple sentences. Only one actor is represented in them; A syntactic relationship is established between one pair of subject and predicate. They can be two-part (there is a subject and a predicate) and one-part (only one main member of the sentence).

2. Complicated sentences. They, depending on the connection of the components, are divided into compound, complex and non-union. Generally speaking, these are proposals that consist of several simple, connected by unions and logical connections.

The most complex are compound sentences. There are different types of subordinate elements depending on the logical compatibility of the proposal. Often they are separated by punctuation marks and can be placed in any part of the sentence.

Types of subordinate parts

There are many different variations in the construction of sentences. All kinds of techniques and methods are used. Among the main types, the following types of clauses of sentences can be distinguished.

The definitive part

He answers the question "what?". It is formed by means of connecting words "that", "which", "whose", "when", "from", "what". Example:

My son is an intelligent and handsome guy (what?), Who likes to walk on the roof.

The explanatory part

Case-based questions are used. Subordination of subordinate clauses is carried out with the help of the auxiliary words "what", "how", "as if", "to". Example:

Despite her quick temper and aggressiveness, she was eagerly waiting for her parents to forgive her for such behavior.

Adjacent Time

Questions "when?", "How long?", "Until what?" And others. It is formed with the words "then", "as soon as", "since". Example:

All my misfortunes began as soon as I graduated from the university and accepted an invitation from the strange and mysterious Mr. Wolfer Von Dyubershire.

Adjacent Place

Subordinated communication is formed by the words "where", "where", "where" and the relevant questions. Example:

How do you want to return to the village house, where no one will blame for not shiny to perfect shine shoes.

Additive reasons. The main words: "because", "because", "because" and others. He answers the questions "why?" And "why?".

My brother no longer looked so worried and nervous, because his problems solved the appearance of a beautiful lady in blue overalls.

Types subordination subordinate clauses

Often the types of subordinate clauses are considered depending on their relationship in the sentence. So, we can distinguish:

- consistent submission: the subordinate is subordinate to the principal and is located immediately behind it, and the subsequent obey the previous one;

- Parallel submission: all the subordinate units are subordinated to the main sentence, but to different words;

- heterogeneous subordination: are related to one word, but have different types of subordinate, i.e. Answer different questions;

- homogeneous subordination: subordinate ones are subject to the same word in the main sentence;

- combined submission: a collection of several types.

As we see, the Russian language has a huge number of types of proposals and connections between them, which can make it difficult not only to compose a phrase correctly, but also to understand it. This explains the difficulty of teaching foreigners to all aspects of Russian speech.
